If you’re looking to camp in the great wide open with a sea of grass stretched out before you, head to Eisenhower State Park. Once you’ve made it to this jaw-dropping prairie you can float your boat on Melvern Lake, and cast your luck for some tasty walleye, bass, catfish, or crappie. Back on the land you can get in touch with your equestrian side, hike, mountain bike, and explore an expansive trail system. While you’re out there be sure to grab your camera to catch some winning shots of white-tailed deer, eastern wild turkey, bobwhite quail, squirrels, furbearers, and waterfowl. What’s more is if you’re in training for the zombie apocalypse, there is a 19-target walk through archery trail. Put that in your quiver! Finally when you’re nestled by the campfire, tent nearby, and the Milky Way up in the sky, you’ll fall in love with camping all over again!
