Discover the most magical spots to pitch your tent or park your rig on your next McCormicks adventure.
Welcome to Indianaâs first state park, camping mecca since 1916. Â
As Indianaâs oldest state park, McCormick's Creek State Park has been welcoming hikers and campers for more than 100 years. Follow more than 10 miles of hiking trails to natural landmarks like the Twin Bridges, Wolf Cave, and McCormick's Creek Falls; join a guided horseback riding tour from the Saddle Barn; or try your luck fishing along the White River. In summer, you can also cool off with a swim at the Olympic-size park pool. The park has a variety of accommodation options, whether you check into the Canyon Inn lodge, book a family cabin, or bring your tent or RV. McCormick's Creek Campground has 32 primitive tent camping sites and 189 RV sites with electric hookups.
The park and campground at McCormick's Creek State Park are open year-round, but many park activities are seasonal, including the swimming pool, tennis courts, and horseback rides. Late spring is a popular time to visit, when the falls are most impressive after winter rainfall and wildflowers begin to bloom throughout the canyon. Look out for ranger-led walks, sporting events, and festivals held at the park through the summer months.
