Red Hills State Park
A small, intimate gem of a park with a lovely little lake known for largemouth bass bank fishing.
The views are panoramic from the top of Red Hills, the highest point of land between St. Louis and Cincinnati. The sparkling 40-acre Red Hills Lake provides campers with excellent boating and fishing in warm months. Winter brings ice fishing and ice-skating. Lawrence County locals love the shaded picnic areas at this carefully preserved and maintained state park.
Red Hills boasts 967 acres of high wooded hills at its 515-foot elevation. Deep ravines, verdant meadows, and year-round springs give hikers, bikers and horseback riders plenty to explore. Eight miles of scenic trails of moderate difficulty wind through the park. The best hiking trails are found on the park's north side.

With a plethora of Class A sites in close proximity to the lake, Red Hills Campground accommodates many visitors that wish to stay more than just a long holiday weekend. Alternative options include more primitive tent camping, a rentable cabin and youth group camp north of the lake. Handicap-accessible sites are also available.
