Randolph County State Recreation Area
Gorgeous in winter too, Randolph County SRA horse trails welcome cross-country skiing enthusiasts.
Equally passionate about fishing, hiking, picnicking, boating, hunting, and camping? This 1,101-acre Southern Illinois state park is a mecca for outdoor recreational activities. The centerpiece of this rolling hill country is the 65-acre Randolph County Lake.
Offering a cool retreat from hot summer days, well-shaded picnic areas inspire relaxed nibbling. The park's six picnic areas are equipped with shelters, tables, grills and water fountains. Kids love the small playground.
Anglers hoping to get lucky will find it well-stocked with bass, bluegill, channel catfish and rainbow trout, to name a few. The lake has a boat ramp, so bring your own (10 HP max), or rent one here.

Loaded with Class B and C campsites, Randolph County Campground offers the accommodations to help you rest easy after the flurry of outdoor activity you are likely to. Other camping options include a group camp with its own shelter and a horse camp. Concessions are available on the west end of the lake.
