In 2016 we decided to bite the bullet, sell our city home, and move out into the country to fulfill our dream of owning a bit of property! We lucked into a charming country home on a calming 2.5 acres. We are surrounded by 80 foot cottonwoods, with deer bounding through the neighborhood, owls frequently hooting and pheasants calling for a mate. This home is a dream come true for us! In the course of this lifestyle change, we stumbled upon the idea that we could own alpacas, one of the softest animals in the world, and our numbers are growing with crias (baby alpacas) due each year! Join us for some peaceful tranquility at Windbreak Farm Alpacas, where if the wild winds of Idaho are blowing, you can still enjoy the outdoors! Pull your camper into the quiet serene grounds of Windbreak Farm Alpacas, our camp site is shaded from the afternoon heat by 80’ cottonwoods, and the alpacas, and especially dogs will Love to Welcome you to our little piece of paradise! While you’re here discover the surrounding area's vast options for outdoor play, all within a 5-60 minute drive. We have water available to fill tanks and power is available in “Extras” for $10 per night. We also have room for 1 more small camper up to 4 vehicles in the same party. If you would like to book the second camper, message me and I can open up a second site for the same party. Windbreak Valentine Campsite
The hosts were very kind and friendly people, and the location of the farm was in a beautiful part of the countryside on an easily accessible road. However, it wasn't particularly clear from the listing that the campsite was just a grassy side section of the front yard. While it was not a bad camping experience by any means, it was a little jarring the lack of privacy in being on somebody's lawn. The animals were a big plus, however, as they were quite friendly.

Disc golf and Alpacas!!
We had such a great time! Clean port-a-potty, a picnic table with great views of the animals, and lots of grass space to have fun in. Very informational and hands on tour, definitely reccomend! Is close to the road but we weren't bothered by any noise. 10/10 would stay again!

Wonderful stay
We loved our stay at Windbreak farm. Janece is a wonderful host and we enjoyed learning about her herd of alpacas and how she rescued 2 alpacas and now has many more!! Penelope the alpaca came over to say hello! We also met 2 wonderful dogs Remy and Winter who help care for the alpacas! Great spot with a chiminea, picnic bench, and clean porta-potty. Highly recommend Windbreak alpaca farm!!
