Visiting the Napali Coast State Wilderness Park should be at the top of everyone’s bucket list. Sacred, soul stirring, and so beautiful it almost hurts, it’s one of the most special places on the planet! Besides jaw dropping beauty, it is very remote and hard to reach, making it all the more unique. The only way to camp on the coast is by backpacking or boating in. The hot and grueling hike along the 11-mile Kalalau trail takes a lot of effort over narrow, hilly, and sometimes nerve wracking cliffside terrain. It ‘s not for the acrophobic! Kayaking in may be easier but presents its own set of challenges. Either way, it will be totally worth it when you pitch your tent on the secluded beach, and spend your days feeling like you are on your own personal island. Enjoy crowdless, picture perfect beaches (skinny dipping recommended!), the Napali Cliffs at your back, and night skies that may turn you into a mystic. Ok Napali coast, you win!
