Sowing Seeds of Peace

3 sites ¡ Lodging20 acres ¡ Roopville, GA
It is 20.54 acres peacefully located between big land owners on each side, and a creek that runs through the middle that separates north from south pieces. Our trails are groomed and some just deer worn. We have one camp site that is rural and rustic. There is a bucket for the restroom and antique, old white kitchen sink for hand washing just outside it. There is no running water yet, but working on getting a water reservoir out there asap. No electricity yet a single power cord could be run for extra $10.00 for your visit. There is a fire pit close to the tent spot on, “Skip’s Campsite”. Another camp site” Aqua-Fine-A” that has a walk in creek access, and you have to cross the creek to get to that one. It is farther away from “Skip’s bathroom access. It has a more established flag stone fire pit. It is our original primitive sight. There is no water reservoir or possibility of electricity at “Aqua-Fine-A” campsite. Everything must be packed in and out on foot. Both sights require a hike to campsites on foot with uneven rooted trails. {You are welcome to use our well loved red wheelbarrow to haul items in}. There is access to a bigger fire pit “M & M fire pit”, and a propane grill option (this is first come first serve/sharing spot). More campsites developing over time and there is a massage practitioner on site if you are looking for the whole experience (29 years experience in healing modalities and shamanic blood line). If you are looking to experience nature cabin style then, “The Minor Escape” is for you. This has a full refrigerator, full stand up filtered water shower, kitchen sink, separate master, two bedroom lofts with ladder access, kitchen sink, ceiling fans, window a/c units for summer and space heaters for winter (Eden pure heater that shows fireplace flames). Our family loves this land and there is always new areas being cultivated in various spots. You will see us out there either with our hobby farm of animals, gardening or building a new area. I am a teacher, guide, artist, and healer. This land is sacred and magical. It is used to heal, restore, inspire and rejuvenate many locally and internationally.

Wild & Free Farm

4 sites ¡ RVs, Tents13 acres ¡ Palmetto, GA
WELCOME, tent campers, RV campers and tiny house owners to WILD & FREE FARM! We provide warm hospitality, a beautiful camping environment and amenities to meet your logistical needs (bathroom access, a 30 amp and 50 amp hook-up and water hook-up). Our story..........We moved from an in-town Atlanta neighborhood to Chattahoochee Hills in 2019 in order to be closer to extended family and to immerse ourselves in nature. This leap-of-faith move has proven to be the most life-giving decision our family has ever made. We cherish this community: our rural neighbors of Chattahoochee Hills, our neighbors of Serenbe, as well as the community of wildlife that resides all around us. This is a land rich in natural and cultural history cared for by the Hearn family for generations prior. Some of the family members have generously shared their oral history with us. Come stay a while, and if you are interested, we will share those stories with you!

The best camping near Chattahoochee Bend State Park guide

Overview

About

Grab the canoe, those dusty old boots, a fishing pole, and big bag of marshmallows, and set your sails to the Chattahoochee Bend State Park! You’ll be greeted by a spectacular wilderness, the Chattahoochee River (a mecca for paddlers), and many miles of hiking trails with views to write home about. Those with tents will be treated with riverfront platform sites, and there are plenty of RV spots in a sunny meadow. The park even offers screened Adirondack-style shelters for families and groups who want a unique camping experience. Look forward to days on the river and nights by the campfire, brushing up on your constellations. This place is a southern star!

When to go

The ideal time to visit Chattahoochee Bend State Park is during the spring and fall when the weather is mild and the natural scenery is at its peak.
