That’s why we decided to offer a corner of our own rural paradise - amongst the mature oaks, blooming magnolias and palms. We have just under 7 acres with plenty of yard to share.
It’s pretty basic space without a lot of amenities (yet), but we know you’d love it here. Our pricing reflects our humble start and we invite you to park your RV, pop open your tent and make yourself at home.
A few things you can expect…
~Wherever you decide to set up camp, we will provide a picnic table, trash can and fire pit with wood.
~We are super pet friendly so bring your furry family members and we will ensure they’re safe and comfortable as well.
~There is access to water from the main house.
~ Electricity can be provided depending on how close you set up to the house. WiFi as well.
~ We do have a chicken coop so you can expect to hear them throughout the day.
~ We are on a dead end road in a rural residential area. Super quiet!
~ Pit potty in a super cute Outhouse.
~ If you stay during the month of March, you will adore our lightening bugs!
~ Tons of mature trees so bring your hammocks.
~ We are on site and available to you when needed. Forgot bug spray or need a band-aid? We got you! Need a board game, yard game or puzzle? We got those too!
~ Want total privacy? That’s ok too!

Upon arrival, you will find a quaint and cozy corner to relax and enjoy a tropical getaway in beautiful New Smyrna Beach. 5 minutes from downtown NSB, 10 minutes from the white sandy beaches of the Atlantic Ocean where you can drive on parts of the beach and have access to a dog beach. There is plenty to do at the beach and surrounding waterways, including surfing, both fresh and saltwater fishing, hiking, kayaking, and biking. We are 25 minutes from Daytona International Speedway. Disney, Universal and Sea World are about an hour to an hour and a half away. Kennedy Space center is 45 minutes away so you're likely to see a launch during your visit. Plus, there are 5 golf courses within 15 minutes. Tons of delicious restaurants in the area.
The Ocala National Forrest is a 20-minute drive away at the closest entrance, with plenty of off-road driving and outdoor activities available. Merrit Island National Preserve is 30 minutes South, where you can see the Manatee, or take a hike, put in the kayaks. Sugar Mill restaurant that has boat tours is 30 minutes to the West...DeLand was voted best small town in 2022. There is a park within a 5-minute walk with skating, basketball, tennis, racquetball and a playground.
We're starting off with a low nightly rate until we get some reviews and bookings under our belt, then will increase with comps in the area. Minimum 2-night stay.
Check in is after 4 pm and check out is before Noon. Please keep in mind that our quiet hours are after 10pm. Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit and towels! Homeowner on site.

Shiloh was the name of an early Florida town that was once located just down the road from our property. It was populated by hardy, adventurous folks who made a way for themselves and their families by clearing a spot along the river, building a home and forging a life in a new location. But Shiloh is now lost, literally removed from the maps. It no longer exists. When NASA needed a perimeter zone for the newly emerging space program in the 1950s, the federal government purchased large swaths of land between Oak Hill and Titusville, FL. Residents were bought out and forced to move. Houses were relocated or demolished. Shiloh disappeared into history while the space age pushed forward into the future.However... some foundations still can be found in the woods not far away, if you know where to look. There are even cemeteries that remain, whispering the names of individuals and families.As a tribute to those early adventurers, we have named our place Camp Shiloh. We honor the past, we respect the wild Florida that surrounds us, and we celebrate the future as we watch rocket launches from our porch. You are welcome to stay on the property while you explore the local communities of New Smyrna and Titusville, relax at beautiful Canaveral National Seashore, attend races in Daytona, visit amusement parks in Orlando... or whatever! This is a family-friendly Dutchmen Colorado travel trailer complete with bunkhouse, fully stocked kitchen, nice size refrigerator and freezer, microwave, gas stove, AC and heat, indoor shower, compostible* toilet, and electric fireplace.
*We decided to upgrade the toilet to a compostible toilet. It’s easy to use.
This is a stationary trailer parked on a driveway in a residential lot. It is ideal for small families or 4 adults or less. There is a master bedroom (with queen bed), a bunkhouse with 3 smaller/kid sized beds, and a futon/couch in there as well. There is also a couch in the living room area that converts into a bed. Next to the Indian River on Florida’s east coast, Titusville is most well-known for the Kennedy Space Center, drawing astronauts and space enthusiasts since 1961. But the area also offers an in-depth experience of Florida’s natural beauty, being so close to the Canaveral National Seashore. Beachfront tent camping is one of the best ways to take advantage of the water views and spot local wildlife like sea turtles, dolphins, and hundreds of bird species. Full-service RV campgrounds and pull-through sites featuring basic water hookups and electrical hookups are available nearby, while Orlando’s theme parks and metropolitan amenities sit under an hour away.

Canaveral National Seashore
Canaveral National Seashore showcases nearly 58,000 acres of coastal land, from lagoons and islands to the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean. It’s a 12-minute drive from Titusville to the entrance of the park, making it a convenient, must-see stop. Special-use permits are required for backcountry hiking, horseback riding, and backcountry camping, while only 25 hiking permits are issued each day on a first-come, first-served basis. The 14 backcountry campsites are reservable but can only be accessed by kayaks or flat motorized boats suitable for navigating shallow lagoons.
Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge
Within the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, the Kennedy Space Center offers an out-of-this-world look into space exploration. The Visitor Complex boasts numerous displays and exhibits, as well as two IMAX theaters (buy tickets ahead of time to avoid waiting in line). Reserving a Titusville campsite or yurt with picnic tables, firepits, and flush toilets means it’ll only be a 20-minute drive to the entrance. After learning about the starry skies, head out for a hike in the wildlife refuge.
Orlando
Only a 50-minute drive west of Titusville, Orlando delivers over 10 major theme parks, including the iconic Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort. Spend the day riding roller coasters and snacking on mini donuts before heading back to a full-service RV campground equipped with wifi or a waterfront cabin with a wood stove to unwind.
When to go
March, April, and May are the most popular times to visit Titusville, so trips between mid-September and early November mean quieter tourist attractions. Those months are also on the tail end of hurricane season, which runs from June until November, so the rain isn’t as fierce and the temperatures still reach 86°F. Since the weather is warm all year, outdoor activities are typically enjoyable regardless of the month, albeit often humid. In July and August, thunderstorms can be expected every day.
