Millville Mansion RV Space

1 site ¡ RV1 acre ¡ Panama City, FL
**NEW LISTING DISCOUNT** **home is in the process of being painted and may be blue when you arrive.** Just minutes from all this beautiful area has to offer, you’ll find Watson Bayou just steps away, 2 boat slips within a few blocks, historic downtown Panama City less than a mile away, Tyndall Air Force Base a short 9 miles away, and Panama City’s beautiful beaches just a quick 12 miles away. Whether you’re visiting for vacation or just passing through, you’ll have all the comforts of home and more in this little slice of Millville. If quiet and serene, and close to much of what makes Millville so special is what you’re searching for, look no further. Built in 1922, "Millville Mansion" (named by my mother's family) is a quaint cottage. The RV space is located behind the home, on a concrete pad where the garage was located prior to Hurricane Michael. Though historic, we love our little neighborhood and have made many amazing memories here throughout the years, and are happy to share it with you. Guests can enjoy our screened-in porch (shared with guests of the home as well), a spacious back deck, and ample private parking for multiple vehicles and a boat (bring your own boat). You’ll also have access to the shared laundry room located outside the house just off the back porch. *Please note this property is still undergoing some minor repairs as a result of Hurricane Michael. While structurally sound and fully functional, there are still some minor repairs/finishing work/landscaping being done. The immediate surrounding areas sustained a substantial amount of damage as well. While everyone is working diligently to make repairs, many areas including our little historic neighborhood are still in pretty rough shape. These restoration efforts do not affect the property’s home-like feel and will have no effect on your stay. We simply want to be completely transparent prior to your booking. THE SPACE When you arrive (check in is anytime after 2pm), you’ll be greeted by a covered front porch that overlooks the historic Millville Cemetery. You will see the concrete parking area and gravel parking area at the rear of the driveway where you can set up your rig and outdoor living spaces as you desire. In the morning, mosey out onto our expansive deck and enjoy your morning tea or coffee. This extra space is shaded by one of our gorgeous historic oak trees. There is ample private parking, you're welcome to park your tow vehicle, extra vehicle and/or bring your boat! There is so much to see and do in and around Millville including visiting our local farmer’s market, hiking on our beautiful trails, visiting our gorgeous beaches, taking in local art, dining at delicious local restaurants, or fishing off our magnificent coast. Whatever your reason for visiting, we hope you’ll find relaxation and fun at our little getaway. *up to 2 loads of laundry are included with your stay if you are also paying for hookups. Additional loads are $5/load. BIG RIGS please see the guidebook for the suggested way to get to the property!

The best camping near St. Andrews State Park guide

Overview

About

Near Panama City, St. Andrews State Park draws visitors to its white sands and emerald green waters. With the Gulf of Mexico on one side and St. Andrews Bay on the other, it’s a top spot for watersports, especially swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and even surfing. Two fishing piers, a jetty, and a boat ramp provide opportunities for anglers, while two nature trails wind through diverse coastal plants, providing the opportunity to spot some of the migratory birds and butterflies that pass through. You can also look for alligators at the Gator Lake Trail and Overlook. A 60-site campground is situated in the pinewoods near Grand Lagoon.

Tips for snagging a campsite

  1. Reservations can be made at the Florida State Parks website or by phone. Florida residents can make campsite reservations 11 months in advance, while non-residents can make reservations 10 months in advance.
  2. As this is a very popular park, booking in advance is recommended. Florida State Park campsites are almost always in high demand, so move quickly—many experienced Florida campers book their spots on the first day that bookings open up.
  3. If you can’t secure your preferred dates, keep checking. Spots sometimes open up as others’ plans change.

When to go

Summer is the prime season for camping in this part of Florida. If you are planning a summer visit, try to make reservations as far in advance as possible. Otherwise, opting for spring or fall instead promises more availability and fewer crowds. With that said, the park is a great place to visit any time of year and does see many visitors year-round.

Know before you go

  • Three park stores are open during the summer season (March to Labor Day).
  • From Memorial Day to Labor Day, rangers host information talks at the campfire circle on Friday evenings.
  • Water sports equipment, including canoes, kayaks, and snorkeling gear, can be rented in the park.
  • All pets must be on a six-foot leash and continuously attended. Pets are not allowed on the beach, wetlands, boardwalks, playground, or in any buildings.
