The campground is situated in the wooded area on the back of 27 acre horse farm which is known as "The Stables at Mezza Luna." Every year in the spring there are 4-6 Thoroughbred foals born that eventually will become racehorses. They live on the farm until they are 2 years old and then they go off to begin their racing career. In the daytime, when you are not sitting around your campfire, you can walk the fence lines and visit with the Mares and Foals or just watch them frolic in the fields. Hint! "They love peppermints, carrots and apples." Who knows, you might get to meet a future Kentucky Derby winner. Nearby attractions include: Vineyard 61 (5 minutes) Stone Silo Brewery (5 Minutes) Leechwood Haunted Forest (5 Minutes) October weekends only There are also chickens, ducks and peacocks that are very anxious to receive your love and affection with any type of treat as well. Kids can even go in the chicken coop and pick out their very own egg they can cook for their breakfast. For the energetic campers and kids there are also lots of trails that you can walk or hike on and there is a small stream the kids can play in. There also is a playground with swings, monkey bars, seesaw and trampoline. Don't miss out out on this hidden gem just minutes from our nation's capital.

Single tent site T7
This place is a great place for a weekend trip ! The sites are very clean and orderly, all of them seem to very level . Some of the sites are set with the ability to hold large groups ! We stayed in the single tent site . And it is massive compared to most parks and even bigger than most private soots I’ve seen over the years . The camp host Keith , was very responsive and friendly . Beautiful setting ! Woods a steam, on a beautiful horse farm. I recommend this place to anyone .

Single tent site T7
Great host and peaceful camping.
I actually stayed in site T1 and it was awesome!! I wish I could just live there. Wood was provided so I had a nice hot fire going until I went to bed. It had a great view of the horse fields and I was able to get some great pictures of the horses without getting to close (being respectful of Keith and his property). There was also a bubbling stream next to the site with a nice path along it. There is a playground for kids and a tire swing from a tree. It was so peaceful and yes, you can see the back of the house from the site but I never felt like I was being watched. I will definitely have to go back.

Perfect for group camping
Excellent experience all around! The group camping space was perfect for our small group of 7 but could definitely accommodate a much larger group. The fall leaves, scenery and horses were an added bonus!

Beautiful working horse farm
Our 4 families had an amazing time at the site!! It beautiful and spacious with nice tree coverage, lights, power and water. Keith came down to visit us once we get settled in. He was very nice and accommodating. We were allowed to pet the horses, dog, cats, chickens, and ducks. We were also allowed to grab a couple eggs which were delicious!! 10/10 would recommend every time!! Thanks for the great time Keith!
