In 2009, Fort De Soto Park was named America’s top beach by TripAdvisor, and to this day hails a whopping 2.7 million visitors annually. Don’t let that number scare you away though, not everyone visits at the same time, and the 1,136-acre park is spaced out over five Florida Key islands--Mullet, St. Christopher, St. Jean, Madelaine, and Bonner Fortune.

Across the five islands, adventurers and seekers of super relaxation will find over 7 miles of waterfront, almost three miles of which boasts sand as white as the salt of the sea. The ecosystems here are insanely diverse, and in addition to the loggerhead sea turtle that calls this place home, you can spot 328 species of birds. Go ahead, stay for awhile and try to spot ‘em all, we dare ya.
