Go back to 1929 in this modest home, which housed the National Woman's Party. In the 1930s, it was the heart of the suffrage movement. Explore the rooms where Alice Paul and Lucy Burns strategized to win voting rights. Check out the posters, banners, and excellent photo collection at your own pace. Rangers also lead informative, in-depth tours that bring history to life. Though the house is small, there's plenty to keep you busy for an hour. Walk a few steps to the Supreme Court, or head over the to U.S. Capitol building. The National Mall close by, as is the Library of Congress and the Smithsonian museums. Taking the train in? Union Station is just north.
If you want to camp, head south to Pohick Bay. You'll also find a few developed campgrounds on the outskirts of DC.
