Mancos State Park
A pristine mount lake doesn't get any better than Mancos.
Surround yourself with deep blue waters and green mountains of Jackson Gulch Reservoir in southwest Colorado. Kayakers, canoeists, and wakeless power boaters make this a quiet, gentle lake. Plus, a lack of boat noise makes it easier to catch yellow perch and rainbow trout. Nothing tastes better than cooking fresh fish, that you caught, on a campfire.
In winter, try snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and ice fishing. That means campgrounds stay open year-round for when nature calls you away from a busy life. Although most people stay in tents or RVs, two yurts provide an alternative camping experience.
