Back in the 1800s and early 1900s Mendocino was a lumber town. The loggers would work inland felling old growth redwoods which were shipped by schooner to San Francisco where the city was being built and, after 1906, being rebuilt. The RINC Ranch property shows signs of those logging days if you look closely. Fortunately redwoods regrow and now you can park your RV under the spreading redwood canopy. A mile west is Mendocino village and north and south are public lands for your enjoyment.
