Hidden among rock-studded hills, Lake Perris State Recreation Area’s 8,800 acres of valley are contained by The Bernasconi Hills and the Russell, Apuma, and Armada Mountains which obscures the view of nearby cities and allows you to be in a natural oasis. About 11 miles outside of Riverside, Lake Perris State Recreation Area has clean white beaches, sparkling blue waters, and the craggy and intriguing Alessandro Island in the center of the lake. A beautiful spot any time of year, this park is particularly well suited to the summer months, when fishing, boating, swimming and rock climbing is in full season.
