Located in beautiful and tranquil Southwest Michigan. 2Chicks And A Farm is a small working farm on 20 acres. 15 minutes from South Haven and the lake. 30 minutes from the city of Kalamazoo. And just under an hour from Grand Rapids. About half of the 20 acres is wooded. Quarter houses our goats, poultry, pigs, and dogs and produce. Then the rest is open. We’re offering camping on what I call ‘The Pasture’. It’s the grassy space between the house and animals and the woods. You are welcome to collect eggs for breakfast and fresh produce from our gardens (additional fee). Use the BBQ or smoker. And even join in on farm chores if you are so inclined. Must respect local mandated quiet hours (10-7 Sun through Thur, and 11-7 Fri and Sat).Welcome and thank you for considering ‘2Chicks And A Farm’ as place to spend some time. We are 15 minutes from South Haven and its beautiful lakeside beaches. 30 minutes from Kalamazoo. An hour from Grand Rapids. Lots of wineries and breweries within half an hours drive. We are LGBTQ+ and family friendly. All are welcome here. We are a small working farm. We have an ever growing flock of poultry, to include a pair of geese (Louis and Antoinette), ducks, chickens and quail. A small herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats, guarded by our two mini polar bears (Great Pyrenees), brother and sister, Rocky and Stella. Then there’s Penelope and Petunia, our Gloucestershire Old Spot / Hereford cross sows. Expect to be followed by one or more of the barn cats, Thelma, Louise, Midnight and Stormy. And last but not least, my three labs, London, Harper and Mia, and two cocker spaniels, Maddie and Poppy. Phew, that’s a lot! You are welcome to select a spot to camp on any of about 5 acres of farmland, either close to, or away from the animals. Grassland or wooded. Camping toilet and shower on site is included in daily rate. Basic, but functional 🙂. Potable water is available from a number of spigots and included in the basic rate. Bring your own containers. Electricity is available from outlets on the outside of the house. Extension cords available. There may be a nominal charge based on what you want to charge. A farmhouse breakfast is available upon request for an additional fee. I also smoke a mean brisket and pork butt, just saying.

New Favorite Farm!

We loved camping at 2Chicks and a Farm!! Our host, Julie was truly amazing. We decided to try camping, impulsively, so we planned to buy what we needed, locally, after getting to the farm introducing ourselves. We're glad we did because Julie had everything you could think of at the farm for the great outdoors. Julie took the time to show us the animals on the property and to answer our questions about farm life. When we told her our plans about going to local stores, first Julie told us how to get to town. Then, she offered us fresh cuts of beef and pork, and allowed access to her greenhouse to pick fresh greens for salad. It was truly the freshest salad we've had in a long time. Julie offered sides and seasonings from her kitchen and allowed us access to the combination grill/smoker. She also offered us farm fresh eggs and bacon for breakfast the next morning. The highlight of our time on the farm was when Julie surprised us with smore's supplies to enjoy the open fire and the beautiful sunset. We highly recommend camping at 2Chicks and a Farm. The farm was very large and we had plenty of privacy. The camping area was far enough from the house and animals to enjoy time alone. Yes, there were animal noises, but we were far enough away from the animals and they did not interrupt our evening. Great for those new to camping or those with more experience and there was access to running water, if needed. We will return!!
