#6 - Nice Big Spot
Lovely spot and very quiet. It’s a bit outside of busy Fort Bragg and Mendocino but close enough to take advantage of the towns and their attractions, if that’s what you’re looking for. The proximity to Jughandle State Preserve and the unique ecological staircase makes it ideal for hiking and exploring. And we were impressed with the work the owners are doing to restore the native plant life. Each site has its own picnic table and fire ring. We would certainly go back again!

Blue Heron @ Jughandle Creek Farm
Rooms in the bunkhouse are comfortable and clean. Shared bathrooms and kitchen are in a separate building, a short walk from our room. The Jughandle Creek Farm is a Nature Conservancy site and part a State preserve, located on the second of five ecologic terraces. There are hiking trails from the farm to the beach or nearby Pygmy forest.

#10 - Sunny Spot
Due to some fallen trees at Site #10, the host moved us to Site #1 and it was wonderful. Excellent large spot in a beautiful setting. We were staying in our vehicle and the parking at Site #1 isn’t very flat, but was able to get it flat enough on blocks. Highly recommend this campground again.
