Mt. Shasta was covered by clouds, but we managed to get a peek. There are other properties around, so its not completely secluded.
Our set up for chillin and eating breakfast in the morning. The rain during the night prevented us from starting a fire, but we were able to enjoy the quiet morning..
Chillin in our campsite
The road to get to the site. Some cars were driving down it throughout the night. Not too many but enough to not feel secluded.

The campsite is behind Sphinx rock. When you arrive, you drive past the house (or park there if tent camping) and the site is located right around the rock. It's feels so private - you can't even see the house - like you're own spot in the wild west. :)
Mid-way point to the top of Sphinx Rock.

The Falls are literally seconds from your campsite. This is the view from the trail to the falls. It took us ~20 seconds to get there.
Nestled in between the trees.
The falls are crystal clear.
The swimming area is rather spacious and easily neck deep in sections!

This is a view of the 2-bedroom, 1 bath cabin we call "Shady Cottage". It has a full length covered patio for shade most of the day, and 360* views from inside. It has a partial kitchen, a king size and two twin beds; room for at least two add'l cots.
The feral horses wander through to show off their newest family members.
Hey! Let's make a fort in this cool spot! Next to our lovely Kosk Creek. Shallow enough for the little ones to play in, or put your chair right in the creek if you want to get your head wet, or your feet cold. Sandy beach for the kids or a picnic.
Playing games in the shade on a quiet afternoon. There's plenty of space for volleyball, frisbee, badminton, or just running around or riding your bike
The kids trying to feed the resident llamas a yummy snack. They're not having it!
