This is a minimalistic homestead, practicing simple eco-sustainable and environmentally friendly living techniques. Your contribution helps to facilitate the nurturing and sharing of this sacred space.

Surrounded by National Forest, there are many great hiking trails and beaches nearby. This is a great place for meditation and exploration, although some areas can be very dangerous with steep cliffs and loose rocks.

There is no internet, electricity or phone service for miles in either direction. There is fresh water, composting poopers, and an outdoor open kitchen with pots and pans, a camp-stove and a fire-pit with grill for cooking. Feel free to cook for yourself or bring food to share and to help prepare meals. Food may be available. Donations are appreciated.

This is a camping experience in nature. Be prepared with your tent sleeping bags or bedding, flashlight and warm clothes. Set up your tent wherever you like. You are welcome to explore the land and make yourself at home. It is best to arrive before dark to easily find your place.

You may not receive a greeting. There are many works in progress and other things going on besides the listings, along with chickens, goats, dogs and a cat. Come with a certain level of independence. This is a place to help people, help themselves. If you need something, please ask.

The nearest "towns" are Lucia and Gorda, each with their own restaurant and small store. Treebones Resort also has fine dining. It is wise to fill up gas tank and get any grocery items before leaving Morro Bay from the south or Monterey from the north.

! IMPORTANT ! Because there is no reception on this part of the coast. Print, Save or Write down DIRECTIONS and HOUSE MANUAL. Address in GPS does NOT work.

Inquiries are responded to by Maggie, who does not live on site. Bookings will not be accepted more than 1-2 months in advance.

Please take away your own garbage, there is no trash service.

Alcohol is discouraged, as well as loud electronic devices.

Read description clearly before booking.

House Manual

Upon arrival check in with someone, unless no one is around or you arrive late. You have booked a place to set up a tent (this is one of five different listings). Pitch your tent wherever you like. It is best to arrive before dark.

Outdoor kitchen is in middle of lower area under canvas tarp.

Trail to poopers at bottom of driveway marked with rock steps, one straight back and one halfway up to the left. Also one at top of second level, and one across creek. Cover your poop with sawdust. Do not leave pee paper on ground. Water is available near edge of garden along driveway and in kitchen.
