Wilbur D. Mills Lock and Dam (aka Pool 2) is located on the part of the Arkansas Post Canal that connects the Arkansas River with the White River. There’s baller bass and crappie fishing to be found here, and anglers swear by the opportunities for catfish over at nearby Joe Hardin Dam. Modern amenities are all over the park areas and make overnight stays a breeze. After all, anything less would be uncivilized.
