Millwood State Park is a haven for anglers. Not just hobby fisherman, either, but serious trophy hunters looking for the catch of a lifetime. Huge, record-breaking fish have been hooked in the 29,500-acre Millwood Lake, and five pound bass catches are a pretty regular occurrence. Millwood State Park hosts a full-service marina, a shady campground, and miles of hiking and biking trails. The meandering paths are great for wildlife viewing, and it’s not uncommon to spot deer, fox, beaver, and gators enjoying the park when they think you’re not looking. So go ahead, come for the fishing, but stay because Millwood State Park has everything you’re looking for and probably much more.
