Welcome to Swamp Shepherd Farm! We raise Cheviot sheep, heritage breed laying hens, vegetables, flowers and hay. Our 12 acres is a refuge for the local wildlife and we strive to work with the land, not against it. The farm features many different types of wildlife habitat ranging from cedar swamp, meadows, hardwood mix forest, pond/wetlands and a beck (small stream)

Sheep camp!
Elijah was a great host! He was available to show us to our camp site, gave us a brief tour of the amenities and a dozen eggs. Very scenic property.

Sheep camp!
Peaceful Camping.
Elijah is a very nice host. His farm is beautiful and quite. I found camping on a farm the tries to be in tune with nature to be very peaceful and calming. I enjoyed and learned more about the interaction and connectedness of the natural world on his farm tour. This was the last stop on my two week tour of the UP and I got a good rest before my long drive home.
