Our property is located in the heart of the boreal forest with plenty of birds, trees, peace and quiet. We have a mix of open spaces, walking trails, wetland discovery zones and dense forest, both on site and surrounding our land. We are near good fishing and swimming lakes and close to the Athabasca and Freeman Rivers. Our property is rated Class II on the Alberta Dark Skies Map. We welcome all campers, whether you are a newbie or a seasoned explorer of all outdoor places and spaces. We offer 2 cabins, 6 RV spots, and up to 10 tent sites Summer activities: Canoeing, kayaking, swimming, fishing, hiking, bird watching, star gazing, hot tub Winter activities: Snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, animal tracking, star gazing, hot tenting, hot tub Custom Activities: Hire our on site guides for Interpretive forest walks, edible and medicinal plant walks, knife skills and carving projects, animal tracking walks, canoe rentals and guided trips on nearby lakes or river, snowshoe walks, and bushcraft skills sessions Year round facility.

Nature Alive Log Cabin

We all had a great weekend. Two friends of ours stayed in the Nature Alive cabin and had a blast. From the diverse forests, amazing trails and the company of a few furry friends, this is the perfect tranquil getaway. I would like to thank Dale for being such a wonderful host.

The Rest Nest

We had an excellent weekend at the Rest Nest. Dale was very friendly and informative. A couple friends of ours stayed in the nature alive cabin and had an absolute blast. From the diverse forests, charming trails, hot tub and the furry friends we all had the pleasure of meeting, Nature Alive is the perfect tranquil getaway.

Nature Alive Log Cabin

Amazing grounds and wonderful hosts. The perfect rural get-away. The a-frame cabin was cozy and comfortable. The hot tub was an A+ amenity. I would highly recommend this to others

Nature Alive Log Cabin

Our experience was simply amazing! Dale is a great host and is always there to help you. The hot tub is the cherry on the cake. Had a really nice weekend getaway. Would definitely recommend.

Nature Alive Log Cabin

Nice remote and quiet spot to spend a weekend with friends. Hot tub was great cabins are cozy and the cats are adorable. Host was great. 10/10
