Site 1 - Lone Pine.
I loved this place which is really spacious, I can set up my 9 person tent with 4 person tent of my friend and still got lot of area to move. Loved that provided a table and chair so that you can cook and put everythings on the table. Site 1 is a highly privacy site compared with site 2 and 3 but you have to compromise with 2 mins walk to get that privacy. Also, the wash room is quite clear, no bad smell, there is sanitizer.

Such a beautiful, quiet spot ! Spacious parking area, clean port o potty on site, secluded sites, and an abundance of nature! Such a gem to find especially with my dog there’s several trials throughout the property that were such a draw to this spot ! Would Absolutly stay again, and Gordon was the most helpful host !

We had a very peaceful night, everything was great and wonderful. Perfect for those who want a quiet retreat as the place is quite spacious and private. It’s surrounded by trees so it rlly feels like you’re out and immersed in nature. Gordon is also very hospitable and welcoming!!

The campsite was spacious and well-maintained
5 minutes from Sylvan lake.
Simply a hidden gem in the city.
The potty was clean.

Site 3 - Hideaway.
I loved that Gordon has made his own trails on the property. Overall had a really nice stay, campground is well taken care of in the cute town of Half Moon Bay. Super close walk to the water for an amazing sunset! Thanks Gordon!

Beautiful bit of land, and it's clear that Gordon takes great pride in keeping the area nice. Gordon greeted me at the camp and gave me a goodlay of the land and recommended trails to explore. Great spot, and great host!

This is a hidden gem and my family and I truly cannot wait to go back. Our experience was absolutely amazing. The campsites are very private, but at a super reasonable distance from the parking lot. The site was in pristine condition, I felt connected to nature and completely disconnected from real life, which was just what I wanted. My kids loved exploring the trails and the beach is RIGHT there, very close. We got to the beach early, we were the first ones there and it was incredible having it all to ourselves. Gordon was extremely responsive and sent thorough instructions. Again, cannot wait to go back.

We had a great weekend at this site! Easy to find with the directions provided and the walk to the camp site was shorter than expected. Less than two mins to site #1. Site #2 is closer, but less private as it is straight down the pathway in. Gordon was super helpful, it was nice to have wood waiting for us when we arrived and his kids delivered more when we decided we would need it. The property is gorgeous, great trails and perfect location close to sylvan but secluded and with a great little beach nearby. We will definitely return!

Amazing spot and hidden gem. It's a short walk to the beach and feels very private. We came here with our baby for our first camping trip together and decided to come back with friends agaim a few weeks later.

Very close to the lake which was very nice! Sites are well treed and shady. Site 2 is very spacious, clean place, nice walking trails too. I think the outhouse needs some emptying but other than that we enjoyed our stay! Very beautiful area.

My 3 kiddos & I had an absolutely wonderful time tenting on Gordon's land! Site 3 was perfect for the 4 of us, lots of room for our tent & still space for the kids to play. Directions were right on point & Gordon was super quick to respond to a couple questions we had after our arrival. Beautiful trails to meander, neat little lookouts & an awesome beach about 2 minutes walk! Lovely place to tent and with a great host! We can't wait to visit again next year!

Gord was super friendly and very welcoming. We stayed in site 1 and it was well maintained and had the perfect amount of distance between campers. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to be close to the water. We will come back again.

I feel torn this is the best site to find and want everyone one to have such a great experience but please don’t book the days we are planing to come back haha. The owner has owned the land for 125 years and is a great host
It’s close enough to town to pick up what you forget
The lake is a small walk away
The sites are beautiful and even if other sites are full you will feel alone in the woods

Site 3 - Hideaway.
The site was lovely and very easy to find. We loved that it was just a 10 minute drive to the town of Sylvan Lake, yet it felt very secluded while we camped. It was perfect for our little family (two adults and a 6 & 4 year old).
The owner, Gordon was very responsive via the Hipcamp inbox as well as via phone. The lake was very close to the site (maybe a 10min walk with the littles) and the trails on the property were fun to explore. We 100% recommend the spot and look forward to camping out here next summer

This place is truly a hidden gem! 💎Gordon is an exceptional host, always accommodating and incredibly generous. His dedication to both the property and guest experience is evident. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the trails, and the rocky lookout was a highlight. Our large group, including my husband, siblings, and best friends, had a wonderful time together. The nearby beach was an added bonus. We can’t wait to come back!!🤩✨🌟

Site 2 - Tall Tree.
We enjoyed our time on Gord's land. The site was huge and lots of room for our tent and shelter. The walk from the parking to the site helped us get a lot more steps in which we enjoyed. The trails are well kept and really neat with the antique vehicles and farm equipment lining the paths. Rocky View was our favorite but our whole experience at Tall Tree site 2, was great. And the outhouse was clean and well stocked too. Just the camping trip we needed.

Lovely, private camping spot in the forrest. We really enjoyed being submerged in the trees just a short walk from the road. Was perfect for camping with our 4yo. A 5 minute walk to a beach at Sylvan lake gave us some variety of playtime with solitude at camp. We had a picnic table and fire pit available. Camp area had lots of soft flat space suitable for tent set-up. Garbage bins just up the road near the beach. Outhouse was extremely clean with lots of TP.
Gord was easy to communicate with and answered my questions re local fire restrictions prior to arrival.
We plan to return here again next year. :) And hope to spend several days next time, as we see this as a great anchor point transition between some of the activities available in the area and quiet solitude this camping spot has to offer.

We had a great time staying on Site 1 and exploring the beautiful land. Pur favourite feature is being so close to the lake for morning swims and beach days. We also ventured out to check out a private lookout that was recommended to us by the host! Thanks again for having us, can't wait for our next stay!

Unable to have a camp fire, great fire pit. Was on motor bike and he offered for me to feel free to drive into the camps site. Very quick responses while trying to find the place. He gave me a pin for Google maps and it worked on the pin point....perfect. used lake water with filter. Portable toilet for all. Was clean. The public road was freshly gravelled ...so if on a motor bike relax and let the bike lead...otherwise your would be down when you have a road bike. Lots of bugs, it's the forest. Very healthy forest.

I had a wonderful experience staying at this site! Surrounded by trees and wildlife (but not too secluded) the atmosphere was perfect for any classic camping activities. What stood out to me most of all, were all the on and off trail spots to explore on the property! This trip overall had everything I needed for adventuring and exploring, not to mention the helpful hospitality of the host himself!

A private site with no water to wash dishes etc , and no garbage facilities, and no fire makes the bugs really annoying.
I did have a water filter system so unfiltered water from the lake, boiled it as well so I was able to end up with clean dishes .
