Entry Cove State Marine Park
There are eight state marine parks in this scenic little slice of Alaska, and Entry Cove is among that lucky bunch. This particular park contains a small cove and a lagoon, and the entrance of the cove has good anchorage on northwind days, unlike its nearby neighbor Decision Point. The winds make overnight anchoring tricky, but Entry Cove is a solid choice for boaters needing to drop anchor for the day. Where camping is concerned, you’ll find sites for approximately 10 tents above the beach. You’ll be pitching your new home away from home on beach gravel, so keep that in mind. While you’re in the area, be sure to check out the gorgeous view of Tebenkof Glacier, along with the neat natural arch on the eastern shore of the cove.
