All your alpine dreams come true when you visit Denali National Park and Preserve. Mountaineers swoon over the chance to bag Mt. McKinley (known as Denali by many), the tallest peak in North America, but there is much more to Denali National Park than the famous mountain. We’re talkin six million acres of wilderness with one little road slicing through it, the famous Denali Park Road. If you don’t want to take your chances with the road lottery hop on a park bus or even bring your bike and cruise along this famous path. Once you cross that off your list consider getting away from the crowds and do a backcountry trip (almost the whole park is open for backpacking!), or settle into one of the six designated campgrounds in the park. Keep your camera close for inevitable wildlife sightings, keep your hiking boots on and explore the many trails, and keep your heart and mind open for one of the wildest trips of your life!
