A breathtaking array of waterfalls and wildflowers truly set DeSoto State Park apart from other wildlife preserves in the state. Come year round to enjoy the rushing waters that characterize the area, where everything from mountain chalets to backcountry campsites welcome outdoor lovers of all budgets. Kayak along the majestic waters or callous your hands through a love of bouldering. Whether you and your friends want to cast a line fishing or bike around the scenic trails, activities abound in this magnificent spot. Everything from rugged rock outcroppings to forests, streams, and mountain ledges make this a diverse area meant for some frame-worthy photography as well. Other nature preserves and a historic town isn't too far away, but with all the things to do here, we have a feeling DeSoto State Park itself will be more than enough.
