Tent, Teardrop, and camper van styles only because of low hanging branches on the camp road. No kids of any age, including teenagers. No porta potty is on-site this year, you must have a camp toilet. The property is 130 acres, a 66-acre field. This property is a forager's dream. I've got everything here. There is an old borrow pit we always called the 'dirt pit' and about 60 acres of mature forest with creeks. The 'dirt pit' was my favorite swimming hole in the 70s but the pines have grown up around it and now it looks like a pond in the woods. There are two ponds and the land in between is the perfect place to camp. That campsite is called 'Between The Ponds.' I added a second campsite, 'Top of The Pond', which overlooks the larger pond. I only have 2 campsites with plenty of space dividing them. 'Between the Ponds' is the best campsite in Delaware. Lots of wildlife. including possible screaming foxes in the middle of the night, tons of bald eagles and hawks, turkeys, deer, box turtles, snapping turtles, and snakes. Bring tick repellent. Very primitive camping... all you get is tables, chairs, and a fire ring. The property is close to town so there is some noise, but the camps (only 2) are very private.

Great location, was very surprised when I arrived, much nicer than the photos. Michele the host was very nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend this spot.

Beautiful Secluded Property!

Beautiful location! Secluded and quiet. We can’t wait to go back and enjoy Michele’s property again. The tables and accommodations at the site were a welcomed addition to the already beautiful and spacious area. The gated aspect of accessing the property was also a nice peace of mind for safety. The amount of wood available for $20 was very worth it! We ended up staying Between the Ponds, as there was no one else who booked for the date we chose. Highly recommend that one of the two, but both are beautiful, clean, and spacious.

Top of The Pond

We enjoyed camping on Michele's property. This space was a bit different than other places we have camped as it was not as remote but it felt very private once you were back in the woods tucked away from the road. This site is perfect for seeing the sights of Delaware as it is within a couple of hours of Lewes, Cape Henlopen, Wilmington, and even Assateague in Virginia! We loved the view out over the small dear pond and the site was well set up with a clean port-a-potty table and chairs, and a fire pit with wood available to purchase. There are also plenty of stores nearby should you need to run out to stock up. Our only complaint is that there was a nearby construction site that we could hear vehicles at in the evenings making it feel a bit less woodsy and remote than we would like, but the close proximity to everything made up for feeling of being less private. Overall we would definitely be back when exploring in and around Delaware!

Awesome Camp Site

I did a quick overnight camp. It was perfect! Great hostess! There are 2 small ponds/lakes, large enough to kayak around in, a fire pit with wood, kindling and grates. I would suggest you bring chairs. The trails are good for exercise but not quite what the photos portray. I never found the RR tracks, just fields. It was still a nice nature trek. I’d definitely camp here again.
