Waterfront RV camping brownlee

5 sites ¡ RVs, Tents125 acres ¡ Huntington, OR
Learn more about this land: We have 125 acre farm ranch that is waterfront on brownlee reservoir. We have multiple camping spots along the water. There are 4 rv or camp trailer camp spots available. All 4 spots are dry camping. No power or water currently. we have a spot to launch boats which is right between sight 3 and 4. Good fishing. Very little boat traffic. Very private. In the fall big horn sheep frequently rut on the property. We usually have fresh eggs on hand. Dry climate. Sage brush and juniper trees here. We have a easy to access spot to fill up water to your camp trailers or rvs. The water is from a spring and Water tastes really good. This area has a lot of history. Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce tribe often stayed in this area and on the property. In fact this was where his tribe met to discuss and decide to try to go to escape to Canada. This is where that journey started. You can still find arrow heads on the shoreline every so often. I’m ruffly 15 miles north of Huntington oregon. 13 miles of which is dirt road. The property sits at the base of lookout mountain. Really good cell service here with Verizon Full bars. If you decide to come camp make sure your directions take you through Huntington. Google sometimes likes to try to get people to drive over the mountain. Or if your coming from the north it sometimes wants you to go through Richland and then on 34 miles of dirt road. Going Through Huntington onto snake river rd is the easy way to go.

Micone Ranch

1 site ¡ RV, Tent28 acres ¡ Ontario, OR
Our place is 28 acres, and you can camp anywhere. We can host many people but only want one group at a time. Keep in mind that winter brings snow, and we have a small bridge to cross and a slanted driveway. We are open year-round but make sure your tires can handle our terrain. Reserve a spot and then add any additional tents/rv/vehicles used for sleeping, that will be with you as an additional guest. You can also add extra sleeping structures under the extra tab. Huge windy driveway can accommodate rv campers. A creek runs through the front of the property year-round. Cleared spots available in the non-snow months are small so tent camping only. It is densely wooded. We do have goats in this field. but they are generally shy. Camping areas that people have liked are up top by the top field gate, or down in the field that our large chicken coop is in. There are no large animals in those areas, but chickens do make noises. Up top we have roosters that make noise about 5 am. the lower field on the right is the quietest. The bridge at the entrance to our property is 11' wide, which should allow a standard 8' RV to pass into the property. If you own an extra-wide RV's you should check its width before booking. Extra-wide RV's can park outside the property if you just need a place to park. Look us up on Facebook under Micone Ranch. See daily events and animals! :)

Butterfield Farms

1 site ¡ RV2 acres ¡ Weiser, ID
In the early 1900's three sheep ranchers--August Broderson, James Fisher, and Isaac Leighton--each purchased residential lots in Weiser and built brick homes designed by Idaho architect H. W. Bond. This property, which we named Butterfield Farms, was built in 1915 by August Broderson, who emigrated from Germany to the US in 1892. The Broderson family lived here for decades and were a prominent family in Weiser history. Learn more about this land:The campsite is located on our small family-run farm in Weiser, ID. Our 2 1/2 acre historic farm is located in the heart of town, so you have the best of both worlds: easy access to town amenities, and a restful retreat in nature at the end of the day. Grocery store, seasonal farmer's market, coffee shop, eateries, library, and downtown shops are all within easy walking or biking distance. Weiser is known world-wide for its annual fiddle festival in June! Our campsite is within walking or biking distance of all of the Fiddle Week activities. Campsite is located underneath a large shady oak tree. Campers are welcome to use the fire pit when fire bans are not in effect. Electric hookups are located immediately next to the campsite, as well as a non-potable water source. Note that we are located in town and campers are required to observe quiet hours between 10pm and 8am and be courteous of neighbors.

Towering Tamaracks

4 sites ¡ Tents20 acres ¡ Baker City, OR
This area used to have train tracks nearby, thus the road name Old Trestle Lane. Legend has it that "there is gold in them there hills". Heavily forested mountain property is way off the grid and it neighbors National Forest; from June through November you can enjoy hiking, climbing, hammocking, watching wild animals, star gazing at night (breath-taking), but sorry, no sounds of the city. December through May camping is ONLY for the hard core winter camper who can find their way down eight miles of unplowed forest service access road to Towering Tamaracks. All water services at TT are winterized until the first week in June. Campers have also enjoyed kayaking, as well as stand up paddleboarding, hiking, mountain biking at Phillips Lake, which is a little over eight miles from TT. For trails, visit Trailforks.com and search Phillips Lake. Trails range from Easy to Black Diamond. Visit nearby gold mining town, Sumpter (about 45 minute drive), while you're here. There is an authentic gold dredge you can walk through or schedule a steam powered train ride. http://www.sumptervalleyrailroad.org/index.html If you don't mind the hour drive, explore the history of Baker City and check out the Oregon Trail Museum just outside of town.
