Stephenson Ranch

6 sites ¡ RVs7 acres ¡ Norton, KS
We have our acres that we live on and access to creek bottoms that are full of deer, wild turkey and all native grasses that hide the smallest of native animals. We live on 7 acres with lots of area for all size campers and tents. We have areas for electric and water access if needed or plenty of parking space to just boondock for a night or a few days. We have side by side tours of our angus farm that we have, see the baby calves run and play as well as a horse for riding or just to enjoy feeding her treats. We will have garden fresh veggies and homemade bread jellies and rolls for enjoyment. We are fellow RVers that have retired from the healthcare field to enjoy our life and share it with others. Come see us on the high plains!!!! The Stephenson’s

Brodine Acres

1 site ¡ RV4 acres ¡ Elm Creek, NE
*Please note: We are an RV only location due to the lack of a public restroom. This location is approximately 1.5 miles from a paved road. We are about 6 miles north of Interstate 80. After snow or large amounts of rain, the road can be slick and difficult to traverse. If you have any concerns, please let us know and we can let you know how the roads are! In 2016 my wife and I built a barn home on my family's farm. The family has farmed in the Elm Creek area since the late 1800s. We're glad to be back in the area and can't wait to share how great our little community is with others! Learn more about this land: We are on a pivot corner of a farm in the hills north of Interstate 80 and Highway 30. There are fields of corn/soybeans, pastures that sometimes house cattle and the Elm Creek visible from the camping location. We are near 8 miles from Sandy Channels Recreation area and about 40 miles from Rowe Sanctuary if you enjoy wildlife and bird watching. There is also a viewing tower on site, accessible by stairs, which offers a 360 degree view of natural surroundings and wildlife! The creek running south of the property is home to deer, turkeys, and other wildlife that are easily and safely viewed from the camp site and tower. A 1/3 mile trail runs around the perimeter of the property. The home on the property is a barn style home. The site is a mile and a half from a paved road. There is very little local traffic and the site is relatively quiet other than nearby agriculture activity during certain times of the year. There is a big friendly farm dog on site who roams the property (A Great Pyrenees). He does bark to keep nocturnal animals such as deer and raccoons away from the property - but he loves other friendly dogs! He is neutered, so is safe for other dogs to play with unsupervised.   There is a washer and dryer that you can use on site for a small fee, detergent provided.  (Must be scheduled while on site) Clothesline is able to be used free of charge, baskets and clothespins available to borrow upon request. There is also guest WiFi available for no extra charge and it is fast enough to stream video, remote work, video conference, etc.

Creek Bins Fortress Camp

1 site ¡ RVLenora, KS
Formerly the Legendary "McKinley Ranch". This site is within walking distance to the exact location of the Norton Meteorite crash spot. Many pieces were found but the largest chunk was taken by a University. A piece is also in the Smithsonian. Also the largest contiguous piece of grassland pasture in Norton County, this property sits on the state line in between Nebraska and Kansas. Rich with Native and Pioneer heritage, Indian camp sites, old creek crossings and buffalo wallers can all be seen. A crumbling schoolhouse foundation makes for great exploration with metal detectors and many scenic viewpoints atop bluffs make for wonderful photo opportunities. Don't forget to sit quietly and watch the wildlife passing by. Learn more about this land:Tuck your RV or tent away within a Fortress of empty Grain Bins. 1 minute walk to the creek. Bin-top perch and whitetail or mule deer and turkey watching. Other wildlife includes, squirrels, badgers, oppossums, raccoons, rabbits, coyotes, bobcats and an occasional mountain lion! Cacophone of birds in the morning. Otherwise silent, scenic and mesmerizing. Site sits 50 yards from abandoned 100-yard deep silo with concrete floor and 12 ft dirt wall. Optional handgun activities.
