Sheila grew up just across the road and spent many hours riding her horse and writing poetry on the property. As a retired artist, we love to entertain creative peaceful people and many think of our place as a quiet sanctuary that encourages creativity. We provide games, both outdoor and indoor, a screen house, hammock, nature trails and a new camp store with local items and snacks. There is an Amish community close by and a tour map is provided. We are also close to the largest canopy walk in the US at Whiting Forest and Dow Gardens. Only 25 minutes away. There is a small water park in the closest town with a beach. Locally there is tubing and canoeing at the Cedar River in Gladwin and kayaking at Pinconning Park on Saginaw Bay.

There's a grocery store, numerous cheese shops, and a variety of party stores and restaurants. For the outdoor enthusiasts, don't miss out on going to the ever-famous "Northwoods Wholesale Outlet". Also nearby is the "Saganing Eagles Landing Casino" in Standish. We have resided here for over 30 years and can assist you in many ways to get the most out of your visit. By the way, the definition of the word "Elysium" is "Place of perfect bliss" and yes, we labeled it that long before the movie with Matt Damon was created.

All 4 campsites are open and available to book. The deer are moving around and we see them several times a day currently. Bunnies, birds, and turkeys are plentiful. Book your trip now and start making plans to explore the area! We look forward to your visit. The property has a lot of wildlife. Deer, Turkey, Rabbits, Coyote, Birds, and Fox. A small creek runs on the property. There are many lakes just minutes away, as well as the Huron river for fishing and kayaking. Public beaches at Lake Chemung and Bishop Lake. Campfires allowed. Plenty of dead wood around. Potable water is available to fill fresh water tanks and containers. Sewer dump station is 5 miles away at Brighton Recreation Area (there is a fee to the state park). Summer activities: Howell Balloon fest in June. Howell Melon fest in August. Captain Frosty's Ice Cream is located approximately 2–3 miles away. They offer a variety of ice cream deliciousness, slushies, shakes, and malts. Fall activities: U-Pick Pumpkin Patch and Petting Farm next door. Free wagon rides on the weekends and a free corn maze anytime. Purchases available: pumpkins, cornstalks, Indian corn, gourds, squash, mums, honey, and other wonderful treats. Terrified Forest and Haunted Mansion are just 1 mile away beginning around mid-September for Halloween. Apple Orchard is 3–4 miles away. They offer apples and have an organic farm stand with a variety of vegetables.

There are many trails for horseback riding, dirt bikes, ATVs/UTVs, hiking and mountain biking. The Chippewa River is very close and many enjoy kayaking, canoeing or tubing this river. Only 18 mins away is the Pine Haven Recreation Area in Sanford. This park has 12 miles of hiking, cross country skiing and mountain biking trails. Horseback riding trails are also available at this park. Places to see and things to do: - Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort, Mt. Pleasant - Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant - Isabella County Farmers Market, Mt. Pleasant are each located about 20-25 mins from our property. Please note that campsites are rustic. Porta-john, hose connect water and shower house are available during seasonal times (May 1 to Oct 1). Campfire rings are located at each campsite and firewood is available to purchase. My family and I live full-time on our property. We have 3 young children and a sweet dog that loves people and other kids. On hot summer days we often join our campers at the pond to cool off! On weekends we love to work in our large garden, take care of our chickens, have a campfire, and play outside. Great location, 5 min from Hwy 25 (East of Bay CIty {20 minutes}, Frankenmuth just 35 minutes. High Speed WiFi, Water & 50 amp Power; Sewer. No playground equipment but one of the best RV sites in Michigan (that I have found). The Quanicassee River is one of the cleanest rivers in our area. Lots of boats go out and in by the dock. There are resident eagles, ducks, geese, swans, pelicans (rare) and lots of fish.

Grace's Blueberry Orchard Camping

There are a variety of parks nearby as well as rivers, lakes, and trails that are easily accessible from this location. Grace Orchard is home to a family of fake farmers who share the property with a flock of chickens. In the summer months when the blueberries are in season, campers are welcome to enjoy the wild fruits throughout the property. Camp sites are available with good privacy.
