Peaceful and private
Hume's Hill Farm was a great campsite! It was exactly what I was looking for. It was easy access from the road and I was able to ride my motorcycle right to the site. It was a very private, secluded site. Addison was great! He met me when I arrived, showed me to the site and told me about the area. I would definitely recommend Hume's Hill Farm and would stay there again if I am planning a trip in that area.
Woods and silence
Great, private campsite away from everything. Spent a couple days just enjoying the solitude and reading in the woods. No cars going by, no annoying neighbor campers commenting on my gear, no 3am generator so some jerk can cool his RV; just peace and nature and stars.
Bring everything you need as the road in can be a bit rough. Parking at the beginning of the road is an option once you’ve unloaded at the site but might be far for multiple trips with heavy gear.
All in all this was exactly the getaway I needed to recharge.
Perfect place to escape.
it was amazing! We had site 5 it was private and quite. Addison had a turn key fire ready for us due to our late arrival, it was perfect! The
Site was large and clean. I would stay here again.
My friends and I had a wonderful time at Humes Hill Farm! Addison was really friendly and helpful. He walked us out to our site (we stayed at #5 which is the furthest spot into the woods) It was about a half a mile into the woods. Very private, beautiful and special. When we got there Addison had already set up a fire and lit it right when we arrived which was very sweet. We loved our camp site and also exploring around the woods and searching for mushrooms and critters :) I would definitely stay here again.
Perfect spot in a glade
The camping site (#5) was perfect for us. Very natural setting. There’s a clearing big enough for a 4x4 but still total tree cover. Perfect for listening to evening animal sounds and feeling really immersed in nature. (Not a good spot for a stargazer.). We arrived on a night with passing showers forecast so Addison set up a fire in the fire pit, ready to light, and covered with plastic, with a bundle of firewood, also covered and dry, right nearby. It was the closest thing I can imagine to a push-button camp fire. The bundle of wood was $10 and totally worth not having to struggle with a damp fire start. We will plan on returning next time we’re passing through the area.
So quiet and peaceful!
Fantastic spot, Addison and his wife were the kindest hosts, and so helpful! So appreciated the $10 bundles of wood delivered to the site, and the stargazing was incredible at site #4. Will definitely be returning! Felt completely safe there as well.
