Samantha is the sweetest host ever! She was very kind and accommodating. The camping site is beautiful and spacious and it is located right next to the AT trail. It was my second time camping there and I can’t wait coming there with my family.

This was our third year camping here! The hosts are communicative and wonderful. The spot feels private. The site is right by the Appalachian Trail and there are lakes nearby to checkout.

Samantha's land is exactly as pictured - or better! She and her husband came to check on us just enough that we felt cared for, but not so much as to invade our privacy. They were incredibly accommodating about special requests re: arrival (we had a few last minute changes to our schedule) and they also left a very generous wood pile that was plenty for our trip. The only complaints I have are not anything within their control: there is very frequent road noise/neighbors playing music until after midnight on our trip.
We had some equipment failures and had to leave early, but based on their hospitality we would stay here again!

Great location, lots of space, lots of privacy, great spot for a tent in the shade of the trees, the place has a great farm vibe, and the hosts are wonderful. Camped with three kids.

Beautiful setting in a lovely shady field. Hosts were friendly and responsive. There is lots to do in the area, right on the Appalachian trail, we had a great time exploring. And we loved our farm fresh eggs!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The camping area is private and under tree cover, so it was nice and shady for us, great for escaping the heat. When we wanted sun, we could walk out to the field a few yards from our tent or head to the swimming hole. We saw wild rabbits and other wildlife, and we enjoyed seeing the chickens (not disruptive at all in the morning) and their big, sweet dogs. The dogs barked a lot but not when we would have been sleeping, so we really didn't mind. We were also able to get delicious farm fresh eggs from their farm stand.
The best part was how close we were to the Appalachian Trail. After we left our site, it's less than 50 feet to start the hike - Nothing better than finishing your hike and immediately being back at your site to chill out.
The hosts answered all my questions over text and were very friendly/kind in person. They run a great operation and make themselves very available; they really went above and beyond for us!
A couple of notes for the best experience: The ground of the swimming hole is a bit abrasive so I'd recommend water shoes, but they also have kayaks and other fun ways to enjoy the water. Also, as with any camping, bug spray will be your friend here. Lastly, as others have reported, there is street noise, but honestly it's not bad. I sleep with ear plugs in the city and made it through the night without them (though if you're sensitive maybe bring them as a backup). Excellent trip overall! Highly recommend

We really enjoyed our stay. We loved that the AT was right next to our campsite. We really loved kayaking. Thank you for letting us use your bathroom in the barn, that was a game changer. Our son loved the chickens and kayaking. We felt so refreshed from our experience.

A really beautiful camp site. We were able to make a fire with lots of wood they provided. The site is also easy to access with the car.
You can hear a little traffic but we’ve found that in other camp sites as well.
The surrounding area has plenty of cute towns to explore. The hiking is great!

We had a wonderful time during our stay. Samantha and her husband made our stay comfortable. This was our 3rd stay at Strawberry Fields Farm and we will certainly be returning.
We purchased fresh eggs and maple syrup from their farm stand. The eggs were the best and I am sure the local made syrup will be also. We would encourage others to support local growers and farmers.
We are sure you will enjoy a stay at Strawberry Fields Farm.

Just had a great stay at Strawberry Fields Farm. What a lovely piece of property - I enjoyed begin close enough to the main house/ barn in case I had questions, but also far enough away so that I had that feeling of peace. There's a lovely meadow to view the moon and stars. Just a few minutes walk to the AT was perfect for an early morning hike and saw four deer right away. The hosts were communicative and helpful.

Wow, thank you Sam!! the weather didn't cooperate, but you were so welcoming and accommodating that we felt comfortable and happy. Thank you for letting us stay a little later on Sunday to enjoy a little bit of sunshine on the kayaks! Can't wait to get back there again and hit the AT

The campsite was on its own and not far from the AT. The bathroom was private, however communication was limited because it's a dead zone, get the wifi password before if you can! The homeowners were very accommodating and respectful of our privacy, it felt like they weren't even there. 10 out of 10, would do again, firewood was also plentiful.

It was easy and inviting. Simple and peaceful. The hosts were extremely hospitable. Hiking trails were at our finger tips. We loved the chickens and kayaking in the pond. It was the perfect balance of being secluded but easy enough to get to civilization if needed.

Fantastic place to get away. Friendly. They mowed a path off the back side of the property so we could walk to the Appalachian Trail (literally next to the property). Great hiking. Having a clean bathroom was a big plus for me. Also went for a dip in the pond - very refreshing. Lots of (loud) frogs at night. Also, for a quick coffee and a very good breakfast sandwich, the New Country Deli Store, not far away, is a great option.

Samantha and Billy are great people...very friendly and very accomodating. The farm here is perfect.... secluded and private yet close to town and places to explore. The Appalachian Trail is minutes away so u couldnt ask for a better setup. We will definately be going again!

Great spot. It felt like we had an entire campGROUND to us. Total privacy. Samantha was absolutely great - went out of her way to print out hiking maps and help us in general. Very responsive over text too.

It was a wonderful stay! Mr.Butt gave my father a nice run down of the area and we were able to enjoy our time in peace. It is fairly secluded and there was a whole lot of room at the site but if you are looking for pure quiet, meaning like nothing but the sounds of nature then I don’t think this place is for you. It is by a main road so you can hear it all as well as some kind of dog area like a dog neighborhood or a pound because dogs would bark sporadically throughout the night

This was our second stay at Strawberry Fields and we were once again pleased with everything. Hiking the Appalachian Trail is a must if you stay here. You are only steps away from the trail and Samantha is very knowledgeable and can give you lots of options as to where to hike.

This spot was wonderful! Very private, with picnic table and fire pit. Bathroom 5 min walk away was great and cute little farm store with jam and honey and eggs. Right on the AT and some really nice hikes. Highly recommend!

The campsite at Strawberry Fields Farm is private and out of view of the house. It is near the road (you can't see it, but you can hear it) but also steps from a great hike on the AT. The bathroom is clean and the barn it is in has reggaeton playing most of the time, which was hilarious.
My husband and I met another couple for the weekend; we came in two cars. The host obviously does not prefer this situation (she explicitly told us she prefers families who come in one vehicle) and refused to tell my husband and me (the second party) where the campsite was over text. She was annoyed since they'd already shown our friends the campsite and wrote that I needed to understand that it was their home. Since there's no service there, we had trouble getting in touch with our friends, and we didn't want to roam around their property because that felt invasive (and NOT respectful of the fact that it is their home?). So, that was an awkward arrival. However, once we got ahold of our friends and settled in, we didn't see the family again during our two nights there.
