Since its inception as a non-profit by Ruth and Skitch Henderson in 1972, the farm has been a favorite gathering place for the local community, chefs, musicians, and artisans alike. Their vision is still at the heart of the farm and still relevant today.

Our farm is 11 acres of pure beauty and we are doing our best to maintain and preserve this wonderful place and for that reason we are focus in providing a very pleasing and safe environment to our campers. We have limited the entire farm to only 4 campsites which will provide our campers privacy, comfort and peace of mind during their stay.

Campers can camp near the pond with a bonfire and available bathroom and shower. We are located 5 minutes from down town restaurants, bars and Walmart.

We are located about 15 miles from Candlewood Lake, trails and local farm markets.

Each site comes with a picnic table, 4 chairs and a small charcoal BBQ

A truly wonder spot! Very community based and enchanting land with tons of history and care. Beautifully kept lawns and pathways and trees. Multiple spots with a communal fire pit near the pond with a big starry sky at night. Alessandro was an excellent host and exceeded our expectations in every way! Very helpful and he makes the BEST bbq;)

Alessandro and his wife were unbelievably awesome. The place and the area are beautiful. Nice place if you are looking for peace and to reconect with nature. The town is close for whatever you need. Lots of art, great foods, and many places to go hiking in the area. Did not see many places that are close by for activites for tweens and teens. I give this place and area A++ for peacefulness, beauty and price and most of all host.

Alessandro was a great host. The facilities on site were upkept nicely and it was nice they let us use their kitchen/fridge. Bathroom/shower was great/clean.

Hunt Hill Farm is a nice way to get out of the city and disconnect. Lots of space where we stayed and private. Check out the farm stand across the street or drive to see the nearby lakes. check to see if they are open first!

Loved staying here. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Alessandro gave us a charcoal grill to use too! The campsite was very clean and they were spread out from each other. 10/10 would recommend!

The last time I was here was almost 20 years ago when it was still a cooking school and kitchen supplies store run by Ruth. Alessandro was a very welcoming and friendly host. He has kept the place up well and even with my late arrival was available to meet meet and show me around. Parking is very simple, and the walk to the site is very short. I picked a spot next to the pond where a chorus of frogs and crickets helped me off to sleep. The weather was perfect for a bonfire, and had I arrived earlier in the evening I surely would have lit one. Once COVID is behind us, I can see myself bringing a few friends to do just that.

Generally speaking, the location is very convenient to stores or a pharmacy in case you forgot anything (like food... oops!). There are great restaurants in the area as well as access to hiking and swimming.
