Beautiful places that are quiet and surrounded by state forest. Please call us before you arrive to make sure we have a space for you. We have a vineyard and winery so we hope you will stop in and taste the wines.

We had an excellent experience camping at Chateau Le Gari. Gary was a wonderful host but gave us space and privacy (as well as the opportunity for wine tasting!) You are able to park right at the campsite which was very convenient, and a supermarket is nearby.

A short drive from many state forests, rivers and lakes, Chateau Le Gari is a great location to stay. After spending the day hiking, we returned to the campsite and enjoyed wine tasting (and got a few bottles ourselves) while getting to know Gary. He is a great host who loves Connecticut and can provide a lot of information about the area. The campsite was in a grass field that backs up to the woods and looks up at the winery. We shared 1 fire ring with some other guests. Gary provided firewood. Note: Wine tasting not included, but worth it.
