Best campsite around!
Great place to stay. Isolated from the outside world but close enough to get out and get anything you have to should the need arise. Very clean spot with lots of room to roam and ample firewood to keep a campfire going for two days. We basically did. There’s a nearby nature preserve as well should you want to leave the campsite. Be on the lookout for hummingbirds! Would definitely stay again. Thank you Alan!
Exactly the getaway we needed
My boyfriend and I got to enjoy one night on the site and we are very hopeful to return! It was a beautiful drive in and out, the site was even better than we'd hoped and we lucked out with some beautiful weather. We've been raving about the trip and we're super thankful for our great host! Very highly recommend to anyone considering.
Such a great campsite, especially in that sweet spot of early fall- when the leaves are changing but the wildflowers are still blooming! It was truly gorgeous. And well situated for easy access to trails and a nature preserve just across the road. Alan and his wife were also very helpful and available for questions. Plenty of wood provided for two days of cooking and keeping warm, which we appreciated. Would recommend!
Most accommodating host
Alan went far out of his way to accommodate me. I had kind of an odd inquiry.. I was in the area attending a race with my sports car which is very low to the ground. Going out on a limb, I asked if there might be any place to park my low car, and Alan actually set up a spot for me that was flat, and marked it with tape.
The site was very nice, with nice tree trunk seats around the fire circle, with plenty of firewood! Nothing but the sound of tree frogs, an owl, and a coyote at nighttime. Would definitely stay again.
Perfect spot, will stay again.
Alan did a great job setting up the site with a sweet firepit and a healthy stock of firewood. There were plenty of trees for tying up tarps, well worth the money, I'll be coming back.
