My family, and another close family stayed here for almost a whole week and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The campsite was perfect for our group, we stayed in site 3. There were other campers around but we still had plenty of privacy. The property was beautiful, and having a trail right there was an awesome perk! The camp host Zach was super helpful during my booking process and while we were there!! We highly recommend this property!

We really enjoyed our stay in site #3! Spacious, nice tree coverage qnd scenic. Couple quick notes: the ground was very dusty so make sure to wear shoes that you don't mind getting dirty. Also the sites were a bit closer together than expected but we still felt like they gave great privacy. We would definitely stay again!

This campsite was perfect for my husband, myself and our pup. It was private enough but you could see/hear other people in the campsite. It wasn’t a problem for us though. It was close to town but still felt remote. We would come back again!

My husband and I had an amazing camping experience here. There is one port-a-potty shared between all 3 sites, and it was very clean. Campsite 3, where we stayed, is the most secluded and the only spot that requires a short walk from the parking spot to the campsite. Convenient hiking nearby and Lake City is an adorable little mountain town. Would love to come back in the future!

The campground exceeded my expectations! It was well set up and maintained by the most hospitable and knowledgeable host Zach. His knowledge of the area and commitment to the project is stellar and makes you want to promote the growth of Slumgullion Center project.
Every site has a designated campfire area with stumps for seating and picnic table. You’re surrounded by the majestic family of aspens.
I was informed it is a conservation site and they plan on expanding and will include conservation and education.
The location of the campground is situated by multiple scenic hikes including the popular AlpineTrail. Overall an amazing stay!
