Our hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful. They made our stay comfortable and provided us with much needed hot showers. This a great space with an even greater view of the mountains. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a comfortable place to camp and hang out.

Beautiful view with extremely welcoming and friendly hosts. The property is far enough away from roads that you can get a great nights sleep while also being close enough to Salida to grab some tasty food. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a warm shower and a relaxing place to stay

Very inclusive, even if you don’t have a van! They set me up inside where it was warmer. Such welcoming hosts and they allow you to borrow their tools to work on your van, RV or other conversion. Such a great concept and so needed! Thanks for letting the hiker stay too! I’ll definitely be back!!

Emily and Kick It were amazing hosts. From the moment we arrived we felt extremely welcomed and were greeted with amazing hospitality. We originally planned on staying for two nights but after meeting some of the people staying here we decided to lay down new flooring in our RV. Our hosts allowed us to park in the barn overnight and use their tools. Not only that, they shared their expertise with us so many times! We loved every bit of our experience at the Van Life Community Barn. If you are on the road and you’d like to get work done on your rig or just passing by for the night, this Hip Camp is perfect. You can hang with others in the barn or stay secluded with your vehicle. We did a little bit of both! The camp has hot showers and beautiful morning + evening views. Our favorite part was being able to let our dogs off leash. Definitely the pet friendliest place we have ever stayed.

Emilie and David have been amazing hosts. The space they offer is absolutely stunning. I arrived at night and had no idea how beautiful the farm was until I woke up to paradise in the morning. I extended my stay another 4 days when I saw the opportunity to use this space. They’ve been accommodating in every way, offering their tools and experience to finish my bus conversion. If you have a dog that loves being off leash, this is the place to be. If you want to trade ideas with like-minded travelers in an open camp with everything you need to work on your van/bus/vehicle..this is it. This is a safe haven for conscious nomads right now.

We took a road trip, came across this wonderful spot! The host was so friendly, Immediately felt comfortable and would definitely recommend this place. We’re two women and usually have our guard up when we travel but they made us feel right at home!
