Nothing like this place in Colorado with direct private access to the backcountry with thousands of miles of trails. Yes, this place has direct access to the West Eagle Mountain Bikes trails that are becoming very famous here in Eagle, Colorado. On the website eagleoutside.com, my property is the no access marker off of Highway 6. Mountain bike, hike, dirtbike, atv, side by side, snowmobile or four wheel with no trailering up. You could ride or hike in the backcountry access trails all day without getting to a paved road.
There are two camp spots available on this 6 acre property for tent camping. Tents are available for rent. Water and electric are available for this fee. RVs and camper vans are welcome also. Please check my other Hipcamp Listing "Vail Valley Backcountry Access Rvs" for more details on camping with a RV or camper van.
Huge shade trees (trees fully bloom the end of May-beginning of June in Eagle County), are all around the property and a pond with waterfall and firepit seating area is available. Friendly, well behaved pets are allowed with a $12/night per pet fee including horses ($30/nt) that can be kept in the 2.5acre pasture with alfalfa grass and flowing water off of Brush Creek or in the corral.
Vail, Beaver Creek, Glenwood Hot Springs, Iron Mountain Hot Springs, Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, Aspen, Rancho Del Rio, Radium Hot Springs, and State Bridge are all near by. This place is ideal for anyone attending the Bonfire Block Party that coincides with the Eagle Outside Festival and Eagle Flight Days are still scheduled. Costco is one mile away, Bowling Alley and Movies theaters are very near as are numerous restaurants and the amazing Bonfire Brewery Taproom.
This place is a gem and is really great for people who like to get directly in the backcountry.

The campsite is right at the beginning of the trails, as described, and also is quite scenic! Though not what one would call secluded, it was an easily accessible and convenient spot to camp overnight. The host is very nice and accommodating, and the property was clean. Would definitely stay again!
Gerry was friendly and wanted to ensure we had a good time. Not as open as expected but the access to BLM trails was cool. Would like to check that out the next time I’m in that part of the state. Definitely more tailored to car camping and mountain biking with such close proximity to the Eagle trails.
Gerry was a wonderful host and she offered several different spots on her property as possible camping locations. It has great access to hiking/ATV/dirt bike trails, but if you're looking to go somewhere farther away, Gerry knows the area really well. She even gave us a map of the nearby trails! Her property is gorgeous and I would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.
Gerry was a great host! Her porperty is beautiful and allows for privacy. We didn’t have a set plan and she gave us recommendations and even took us to the local watering holes! We had an amazing time and will definitely be back with our dog and to take out the atvs!
