We were welcomed into a wonderful hidden jem of CO by Mona and Carl. The area was beautiful, the kids (and dogs) could run and play all day with no concerns, and we could go hike right out of our front door.
The limited number of cabins and camping spots kept the atmosphere feeling personalized and easy going. The small farm (pigs, chickens, horses) gave this a unique element to typical camping.
Step away from the busy life and relax here!

Our stay was fantastic! The hosts went above and beyond to entertain the kids, and horses, pigs, and chickens were a huge hit. I'm pretty sure our dog was sad to leave his new best friend, Josie, too.
This place was wonderful! The camp hosts were lovely and helpful in all aspects of our stay. Our kids loved the location for the freedom they had to run and play. Our dogs even got some freedom they hadn’t had anywhere before. You can do big hikes out and about or just stay in close to camp for hours. There is plenty to do either way. Meeker is your closest town (45mins away) so fuel up and grocery plan because you won’t want to ‘run to town’ if you don’t have to. Our children got to visit with and ‘help’ with the animals. We went for a paddle on the little lake. We also got to see the start of the trees turning which was beyond magical. Everything was clean and tidied. If you’re an RV or trailer, you will be parked one right next to the other but not too snug. The sites are long for your space, not so much wide. It wasn’t a problem though because nobody was there to be rowdy. It was wonderful having kind neighbors. Bottom line, it’s a great place no matter where your spot is located or how long you have. If you’ve got time, stay and enjoy!
