Rough camping and hiking in the Roosevelt national forest. Only 10miles into the Poudre Canyon. Short distance from Hewlett Gulch and Grey Rock trailheads. Great fishing and floating in the Poudre river. Trails in process. No bathrooms. Pack in... Pack out. Most areas are not leveled. There are a few in the works. We have one easy access site available right inside the driveway enterance by the main road that is the only one you dont have to hike to. Has a 12 man tent already set up. Picnic table and fire pit. Wood provided for this spot. Cost is double a regular hike to spot. No dogs on this spot... too close to our house and dogs. We do have an 8 man tent we can set up for you a short hike out also with fire pit, chairs, picnic table and wood provided. This one would also be double cost but allows dogs. My kids would be more then happy to help haul your things on the atv to any of the lower areas that is accessible by atv for tips.

A great location for some rustic camping while enjoying the area. Very private setting surrounded by mountains. Great starry skies.

This is a beautiful piece of property and sleeping right next to the river was amazing! There were no other campers there during our stay and so we enjoyed a lot of privacy. I would recommend other folks to stay here and just to be clear there are flat places to pitch a tent very reasonable distances from the parking lot. Bring bug spray!

Really well kept sites! We picked the one farthest back and up the hill. It was behind the horse pasture and the horses came up to say hi, which we loved. Unfortunately we could hear the road from our site which sort of took us out of the natural setting. The lower sites might be better if you don’t want to hear the road. However, it was still a nice campsite and we really enjoyed the privacy!
