This camp is incredibly beautiful and perfect for a secluded, quiet getaway. We arrived after dark and Tim’s directions were simple and exact. The location is only 5 -7 minutes from a gas station and convenience store, yet it truly feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. The camp spot was ideal, right beside a small private lake with a pebble bottom and pristine mountain water. Rock outcroppings and timber were partial cover for our elk neighbors and a walking trail put us right on national forest. We watched ducks, hawks, and deer and had a beautiful view as we experienced the peaceful solitude. We wanted to stay a week and hope to return. You will not be disappointed.

Thank you Tim for sharing this special place with us. We had such a peaceful, relaxing time, the perfect place for just that!

For other campers, we had Verizon and could get texts and calls (for the most part). We had a cell booster in the car that would pick up internet when we needed it, just no zoom meetings for dh (not powerful enough).

This place is a little slice of heaven, for families and kids as well as couples. We were sad to leave, but hope to get back some time in the future.

Tim is an excellent host. His communications were timely, accurate, friendly and inviting. We parked our camper by the water and enjoyed a quiet, private, clean and picturesque stay. Our rating . . . Five stars!!

It was so beautiful staying out here. We were by the pond and it was so amazing to wake up to and to fall asleep under the insane amount of stars. It was also very close to the Florissant Fossil Monuments park, which has an awesome hike too. Tim was very communicative. Overall, recommend this to anyone, but be aware you’ll need to rough it a bit.
