We had a great time at the bunkhouse cabin, cooking a great camp meal and taking in the fresh mountain air. The property has great view of Mt.Princeton, while still very convenient to the town of Buena Vista. There is no running water in the cabin itself, but there is potable water available and a clean porta-potty close by. The best part about staying here is host, Monika and all of her animals! Monika is so welcoming and friendly. She gave us a tour of the "farm" and we loved seeing all of the chickens and eating farm fresh eggs!

Enjoying the yard in the evening1 of 2 beds. The barn, looking across the yard from the bunkhouse.Entrance to the Bunkhouse

What a wonderful retreat! I stayed in the cabin with my mom and 2 kids. It was comfortable and warm, despite our visit being a cold and rainy one. The beds were comfy, but what we appreciated most was the large table and plenty of chairs, so we could eat comfortably in the cabin, with friends visiting, too. The property itself was great. Happy chickens, cute rabbits and ducks, friendly dogs, and beautiful horses. Lots of room for the kids to explore. Monika was so helpful. She brought us things of hers that made our stay more comfortable--a better sponge for scrubbing dishes, some extra camp chairs, ketchup for my kids' hot dogs, etc. She was just really nice and made us feel so welcome. When she heard that my daughter loves horses, she even went and saddled one of her horses so the kids could ride! Monika also helped us come up with ideas of what to do in the area, even in the rain. I wish our trip had been longer!

We had an amazing stay at the Old Bunkhouse Cabin! The cabin is adorable and set back near the creek among many of the rescued animals on the property (geese, chickens, dogs, rabbits!). There is no plumbing, so the cabin is one big room with two full beds and plenty of other furniture and room for blow up mattresses. (There is a clean Porta-Potty on the property.) Monika, the host, is AMAZING!! She had texted us ideas for dinner before we even arrived, and she provided so many great suggestions for things to do and see around town! We and our two dogs loved our stay and can't wait to come back!

Monika and Tim were such nice hosts! They were super accommodating and helpful. Gave s brief tour when we arrived, lent us some bowls from their home, and then let us be. The wood burning stove kept us nice and cozy, and the beds were decent. The property is gorgeous and it's super close to town and the hiking trails. It was the perfect spot for my friends and I to have a little getaway. Would definitely recommend!

Highly recommend!!! Very family friendly!! My family and I absolutely loved staying here at the warm and cozy Old bunkhouse cabin and will do so in the near future!!! Monika and Tim were both so welcoming and sweet!!! We are from Texas and this was our first time visiting Colorado. Monika and Tim both made a point to make sure we had a wonderful stay and informed us of awesome little hidden gems and sights to visit including the scenic routes. Monika being as sweet as can be even brought us desserts one night which made my kids day. Both my kids really enjoyed seeing and helping feed all of the beautiful animals on their ranch. We can't wait to stay here again!!!
