This horse friendly 51 acre heavily wooded property is nestled in a rural area next to the Front Range Mountains and Raspberry Butte. It has rolling hills and a natural pond during the winter. We created four campsites along the 300 yard winding road that leads to our home and barn. The campsites are set up for RV's and/or trailers that have their own toilet. We are NOT set

There is a petting zoo with goats and chickens. Our 8 stall barn holds 8 horses, 2 donkeys (including a mini donkey), baby chicks and ducks. We offer horseback rides in our round pen upon request for an additional cost. Thirty acres of our property are fenced for the horses however there is an entrance gate next to the campsite. You are welcome to explore our property as we have lots of wild life and domestic animals. If you have your own horses we have the ability to board them at an additional expense.
We are approximately 2 miles from the town of Larkspur that has three restaurants to include pizza, Mexican food, and a pub. We are approximately 10 miles from the town of Palmer Lake which has fishing, kayaking, and several restaurants. Spruce Mountain hiking trails are 2-3 miles away. We are approximately 40 miles north of Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, Seven Falls, and Manitou Springs. We are approximately 40 miles south of Denver and all of its attractions.

We stayed in spot two this last weekend and we had a blast. Both sites are really nice and in the same area. It’s perfect for two groups to go together. They are surrounded by trees so you get a lot of shade through out the day.
Teresa and her husband were so welcoming. They brought down a trash bin with a lid for us to use, very helpful. They have 51 fenced in acres you can explore.
They have so many adorable animals from baby ducks to mini donkeys as well as horses. My teenagers and the little kids all loved it. They got to help feed the in the morning and afternoon. We also ordered the 1/2 dozen eggs that the kids got to pick out each morning. They were delicious.
This is a fabulous place to camp, would be perfect for two groups (one at each site) and definitely a favorite for kids. We have already booked another weekend.
Had a lovely view of the gorgeous scenery through the trees. Four bucks were grazing in the meadow. Quiet and relaxing spot. Hosts were very welcoming and let our daughter help with the horses. We enjoyed meeting all the animals. Would highly recommend.

Eric, Thank you for choosing our campsite for your overnight stay. Your family is lovely. We hope you can stay again if you find yourself passing through Colorado. Clint and Teresa
Everything about my stay was perfect. The campsite is secluded from the barn area, with ample room for a van or car set up, tucked within a little pine forest with views of the fields through the trees. Teresa was such a lovely host, couldn't have been more accommodating, as were her husband and daughter! I spent a lot of time with Amy riding horses and watching her ride (definitely worth the extra cost!) and learning about her world. The land was beautiful too! Overall, highly highly recommend!! I will definitely be back.

Shannon, Thank you for the kind review and for the fabulous pictures of our ranch. We hope you can stay again when you can rest and relax. Clint, Teresa and Amy
We feel so fortunate to have stayed on Teresa’s land. Although we were just looking for a place to camp, we were very pleasantly surprised when we learned our girls could have a horse riding lesson! Feed the animals, hold baby chicks and ducklings, hang out in the goat pen! Eat deliciously rich farm fresh eggs for breakfast! It was exactly what we needed the last weekend before “school” starts!
We will be back weather they like it or not. Especially if Anthem manages to get their award winning mare Drummer pregnant. We were also lucky enough to arrive on the day that they were hosting their daughter Amy’s rodeo drill team Practice. It was fascinating to get an insiders look into all the work involved with putting together a rodeo routine. Thank you Teresa and Amy!

Maria, Thank you for your kind review. Your family was delightful and we look forward to your return visit.
Great evening, host was great and the stars were beautiful.

Tony, Thank you for your kind description of our property. We need to get outside more at night to see the stars ourselves.
A gorgeous shady spot in the pines not far off Rt. 25. Such a respite from yesterday's heat. Super convenient, and Teresa was easy to communicate with and very helpful. A hoot owl talked to us while we sat out after dark, and we enjoyed a nice bike ride into Larkspur for dinner. Highly recommend!!

Beth, Thank you for your review. It has been hot lately and it is nice to know the spots we chose for the campsites are keeping our guests cool.
Staying here was like a mini retreat for me, my husband, my mom and two small grandchildren. From the moment we turned on to the property, to the very last moment, we felt welcomed and at home. Teresa, her husband and her daughter treated us like we were family. They gave us an evening tour of the barn; introducing us to each horse, and telling us their story, The kids delighted in seeing the horses, ducklings, chicks and donkeys. The goats are the sweetest things! They run up to greet you as you walk up the lane, and then stand at the fence and welcome your attention. The highlight for the kids was experiencing their first horseback rides around the pen. We all enjoyed the ATV ride around the property too! Spot #1 and #2 are near each other; it would be a perfect place to camp with another family. We definitely plan to return and will bring others with us. From the oldest (87 years old) to the youngest (3 years old), it was unanimous that we all want to come back!

Kim, We loved having your family stay at our campsite. Your grandkids were adorable. Thanks for the pictures. I need to buy some of those hats for my grandkids!!
Thank you so much for the stay! Everything as described and the kids loved wandering around and playing with the horses, goats and chickens. Thanks again and hope to come back soon!

Joseph, You are very welcome. I am so glad you chose our campsite for your family vacation. Come again soon!! Teresa
Our family had a great time here! My teen and tween enjoyed feeding the animals and the “riding lesson” was really fun! We enjoyed hearing the stories about the animals:) The land is beautiful and the sites are neat and clean. Very gracious hosts! Palmer Lake is also nearby with kayaking and paddle boarding.

Delane, I am so glad your family had fun and there was enough to do on the property and surrounding area to entertain all age levels. Teresa
