Mike's cabin is in a wonderfully secluded location and is even better than described. Cozy, comfortable, and immaculate it was absolutely perfect for our stay near Durango. Would happily recommend for anyone looking for a rustic yet modern cabin near Durango.

The most incredible unique location and drive. If I didn’t live almost 2,000 miles away odds are i would be there once a month for a gorgeous mountain retreat.

Mike’s place was amazing. Beautifully decorated and incredibly serene. We were able to cook a full meal and take a hot bath after many days out on the road. The patio is a lovely spot for meals and the bedroom in the loft is incredibly cozy. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a cute place to relax!

Gorgeous fireplace (did not use during our visit)Outdoor area in front of cabin with hammock, fire pit, and picnic tableOutside of the cabin. Adorable!

The Mountain Retreat Cabin was perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. Mike has created an amazing space and I can't wait to go back! We spent the morning riding bikes in Durango with our pup and then napped in the hammock on the property. We cooked in the cabin and enjoyed breakfast on the deck. It's remote but close to Durango, beautiful, quiet, cozy, and an overall great experience.

My stay at Mike's property was amazing. His land is gorgeous and I really enjoyed wandering around. The loft in his cabin is a perfect little nook to be comfortable and enjoy the space. I would come back here in a heartbeat. He is so pleasant to be around and it was amazing to see what hard work he put into building his cabin and other infrastructure around his 40 acres. I will recommend this spot over and over again.

The cabin is extremely well constructed and such a pleasure to spend time inI went and roamed around the property as the sun was setting and it was as pleasant as could beSunset seemed to go on forever, with the sun dancing all around the propertyThe most comfortable of hammocks was waiting in the front yard

Staying at Mike's beautiful cabin overlooking Durango was exactly what I needed. It was warm, spotless, cozy, and beautifully designed. Mike made a fire in the stove and was fun to talk to. He lives in the loft space in the cabin, and I stayed in the bedroom downstairs with my dog. I totally felt like I had enough privacy and Mike was super welcoming. My favorite part was going on a stroll in the morning to see the sunrise alpenglow over the snow studded peaks. The cabin is not too far from Durango and it's a scenic drive. You eventually turn onto a dirt road that is easy to navigate and well maintained. I even had service out there, so it would be hard to get lost. Definitely would stay here again next time I'm in the area!

Gorgeous sunrise alpenglow on my morning stroll, right near the cabin.
