Rollin's placer was once an active gold mining area. There are a couple of abandoned cabins and an abandoned mine near the camp site. The Roosevelt National Forest borders the camp site for unlimited hiking opportunities.

This camp site is awesome! 5 of us stayed here with 5 tents! Plenty of room. The stream is nice and we used it as our water source. Had visits from several moose and a black bear. Great private spot, easy, short hike in. Super fun! We’ll be back!

This was a beautiful spot, perfect for a night or two of camping with a small group. There's lots of shade and enough interesting cabins, creeks and caves nearby for a short hike. The host was responsive and answered all my questions. The only thing I wish I knew is that the trail from the parking area to the camp site isn't as accommodating as I was hoping – it was a challenge to lug heavy camping gear to the site and my small children tripped up hills and over roots several times.

Really great spot for a quick night away from the city! Soloman was courteous and friendly and very helpful. There's a short walk to the campsite, not a huge issue. Beautiful creek right beside the campsite with a fire circle set up and logs to sit on. Definitely recommend!

This site was amazing! So peaceful! There’s a beautiful little waterfall that makes this little spot feel so magical :) The best part: There is an AMAZING dog on the property. She’s super majestic, very sweet and I felt very safe with her around!
