The vibe at Sol Mountain Teepee

Loved it, here’s why!
☀︎ The Site ☀︎
Beautiful Ute Teepee village and even better views of the Colorado Rockies! This is definitely the place for you if you can’t think of anything better than an awesome sunrise/sunset — don’t even get me started on the star gazing. There are three teepees, the largest one located closest to the farm and two smaller ones further back. Tent sites are also an option and are more secluded. You can book those here: https://www.hipcamp.com/colorado/sol-mountain-farm/sol-mountain-farm-camp. Anything else you’d need, they have it: compost toilet, outdoor shower and potable water. Lot’s of great stuff happening over at the farm as well, which you are free to explore.
"At our organic farm, we engage daily with principles of permaculture to grow everything we touch to its fullest potential. We learn from Nature, our biggest teacher, in applying sustainable practices to grown our veggies, raise our pigs and chickens, and bring wholesome food and energy to our local community."
☀︎ The Host ☀︎
Some of the nicest people you’ll meet! They love what they do and would love to share that knowledge with you as well. If you’re up for it, ask for a tour of the farm. They’ll also be happy to give you suggestions on what to do around the area. The crew has plans to build out more communal spaces too, so this place will only get better!

Unique experience at a great value, would recommend checking it out! The farm itself is cool to be around. Loved the piglets and farm kittens hanging around. Sunset is beautiful and we had a fun time chatting with the other visitors around the campfire.
The experience of sleeping in a Teepee was wonderful, if you are prepared to be sleeping on mulch (bring a tarp/sleeping pad/sleeping bag). We would have appreciated more communication upon arriving at the farm (no one was there and very little information was given) but the hosts were kind and helpful after they arrived.
The location felt secluded and the view was Ahhhhhmazing. We took lots of great photos. We came in late July and the weather was perfect. It was warm during the day/afternoon and a little cool through the night. We had a storm roll through that night and got to sit around the fire pit provided and watch nature's light show. That morning was quite cold outside the teepees with the wind and didn't warm up until 9-10am so bring a sweater or jacket (or wrap up in your sleeping bag and sit by the fire pit like I did to see the sunrise). Inside the teepees was a great temperature...it kept all the wind out nicely! I'd advise bringing a mat for your sleeping bag to lay on and make sure you bring a good fire starter! No complaints about the teepees for us - only good thoughts! We'd definitely do it again.
