Welcome to our paradise! SKOL Ranch is located west of Pikes Peak at 8200 ft. Our cabin is 350 sq. ft. of comfortable living space. Some people have a detached garage... we have a detached bedroom which provides privacy and relaxation while all the comforts of home are just a few steps away in the main house. We have 20 acres of beautiful rolling hills, a stunning view of Pikes Peak, and tons of wildlife! The cabin has two queen beds and will comfortably sleep 4-6 (with an air mattress.)
We are just a mile away from Paradise Cove (aka Guffey Gorge) where there is a beautiful hike leading down into a canyon where there is a swimming hole. We have an 18-hole disc golf course on our property, too. We are in the heart of hiking country, so if you're looking for a trail just let us know!

The vibe at SKOL Ranch Mountain Getaway
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
We absolutely loved our stay at SKOL Ranch! Kristina and Gary were very welcoming and gave us a tour of the property in their Jeep. The views from the hill above the house are gorgeous, and you can easily see Pikes Peak. The shed was very spacious but cozy and we really appreciated the clean room and comfy bed. We left the windows open in the day to get the nice mountain breeze, but the fireplace and heater kept us warm in the night. We really enjoyed exploring the property, playing a little disc golf, and watching the wildlife in the yard. We would definitely recommend a stay here, and I'm sure we'll be back!
We had a FANTASTIC trip to the Skol Ranch! Kristina and her husband are amazing hosts; they were super friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We felt at home from the get-go and had a great time chatting with them throughout our visit. The disc golf course on the property is amazing! Playing a private mountain course at our leisure was so much fun. Plus, the amount of Vikings fan gear that fills the main house is impressive, and that's coming from a lifelong Packers fan!
The Skol Ranch is perfect for a couple or small group. There are two full beds and a "living room" area with a couch, desk, and TV with DVD player. As mentioned in the listing, the bathroom and kitchen are available in the main house.
You definitely feel removed from the hustle and bustle, but there are also lots of fun things to do nearby. There's a great swimming hole and hike, gambling in Cripple Creek, and some local restaurants and bars in Florissant and Woodland Park. We drove through the Fossil Beds National Monument and will spend more time here on our next visit.
We would definitely recommend a stay at Skol Ranch for anyone who's looking for a Colorado-friendly, quiet weekend getaway!
