If you're looking for a private, rustic spot, this is the place for you. Beautiful fields with mountains in the distance, and your only neighbors will be some curious horses in the next pasture.

There are no facilities, so it's more important than ever to come prepared and follow leave no trace principles.

We built a small fire pit that Eric, the host, let us leave standing for future visitors, so look for it on the right side of the dirt road. Speaking of the road, you might want to make sure you've got 4wheel drive and watch the weather—could be hard to get outta there after some heavy rain.

Nice place to camp if you're looking for solitudeStarting a fire as the sun starts to go down and the temperature dropsThe first of two gates you'll need to pass through to access the property.Last of the daylight

Extraordinary solitude on an open plain with mountain vistas and multiple options for landing a tent. Visits from deer and hummingbirds. Everyone should be able to spend a day a year out here.

Plenty of interesting flora.A sleeping pad would be handy on this ground, but not absolutely necessary.Second Wind, Tent/Rustic Camping.

Magnificent. Fantastic location and views. All kinds of wildlife, jumped 5 antelope on the ride in. It’s like you have Colorado all to yourself. Privacy!

Eric is very straight forward so pay attention to all of his directions! I arrived late and misread instructions and ended up stuck in the mud. It was a very expensive tow! He's not kidding. I still loved the spot though it was absolutely beautiful and clear view of the stars at night. I don't regret my stay although it costed me it was a still a great spot and Eric is very thorough.

Absolutely amazing private camp site -- all you can hear are the birds and the wind. The whole area smells like the wild sagebrush and there's enough vegetation to create really protected private pockets (good when there are no bathrooms!). We had an unforgettable time, and would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful rural getaway!

This site was absolutely beautiful! Great views, so quiet, and private. It was really nice having a fire ring and plenty of firewood available on site. The directions to the campsite was the only challenge. It took us quite a while to figure out where we were and where the site was on the property.

Great spot! It did get windy, so be aware of that. However, I was really pleased with how private it was, it smells great, and we had a lovely weekend! Beautiful sunsets and a view to die for. Saw elk and plenty of deer. Coyotes in the evening. Plenty of firewood. I think maybe I'll be back.

This is a beautiful campsite. The road is terrible, but our 4x4 truck made it just fine. Nice flat area for our 6 person tent. Nice fire ring. Great mountain view and so many stars at night (cold night).
