A convenient location if you are traveling HWY's 50/ 96 east or west, HWY 71 north or south which is at the end of my street.

This semi-rural location is great for accessing the 2 lakes ( 5 miles away ), fishing holes, bird-watching, river and canal ..... quiet, secluded but easy 3 minutes into downtown Ordway (supermarket, cafes, pharmacy, parks and playground, gas station, bank )

Dogs must be leashed at all times... no exceptions.

I only get on emails 6-8 AM so if that window is missed, I will catch it next morning.

Saylestate is a wonderful spot to visit. We stayed on a cross country trip because of its location, and we found Gillian and her campsite to be a nice oasis. She has a number of animals: goats, a horse, chickens , guinea fowl, turkeys, and a cow. It has a bit of a “peaceable kingdom” vibe. Although the overall location is on the prairie, Saylestate has lots of vegetation and bird life. One warning - if you don’t like farm animals, sounds, or smells, this might not be the place for you. But if you are at all adventurous, it is a great place to stop. Gillian is extremely hospitable and knowledgeable about her corner of Colorado.
